La Rete Ecologica è lo strumento principe per la tutela della biodiversità. La Rete Ecologica Provinciale dei Monti Lepini Ausoni e Aurunci che si va a presentare, in questo volume, vuole essere un primo modello di analisi territoriale per la provincia di Latina e, come tale, necessità di essere sperimentato e validato costituendo un primo tentativo di individuazione di quelle aree a valenza faunistica e vegetazionale che possono giocare un ruolo rilevante nella conservazione della biodiversità.
