Contohnya yaitu seni budaya Dzikir Saman yang selalu menjdi pusat perhatian masyarakat sekitar. Namun, nilai-nilai budaya Islam yang dipertahankan menganut paham percaya pada ajaran nenek moyang, yang berbaur dengan mistis dan gejala-gejala sinkretis serta sulit untuk dileburkan ke dalam ajaran Islam yang murni. Untuk menghindari hal tersebut, maka salah satu organisasi masyarakat pembaharu Islam yang katanya fanatik terhadap agama, yaitu organisasi Muhammadiyah memberikan arahan kepada masyarakat desa Kubangkondang untuk tidak terpengaruh pada unsur-unsur yang berbaur mistis, khurafat dan bid'ah. Karena hal tersebut dilarang oleh ajaran agama Islam yang berpegang teguh pada ajaran Al-Qur'an dan Hadits. Sebagai organisasi masyarakat (Muhammadiyah) yang memiliki pemikiran rasional, maka seni budaya Dikir Saman di desa Kubangkondang tidak dapat berjalan dengan baik. Keautentikan dalam memahami agama, berpengaruh bagi masyarakat yang menganggap kebudayaan yang sudah berkembang hanya sebagai tontonan dan bukan sebagai tuntunan keagamaan. Respon terhadap penggiat seni budaya Dzikir Saman pun berkurang. Berbagai upaya yang telah dilakukan oleh para penggiat seni budaya Dzikir Saman untuk merevitalisasi kesenian Dzikir Saman di desa Kubangkondang telah dilakukan. Akan tetapi, prosesnya tidak mudah, meskipun para penggiat Dzikir Saman telah menekankan perspektif pemikiran yang kolektif pada masyarakat desa Kubangkondang terhadap nilai-nilai agama-sosial dan ekonomi sosial secara etnografi. Hasilnya tidak memuaskan, sehingga mengakibatkan adanya respon masyarakat desa Kubangkondang semakin berkurang.
