En este trabajo abordaremos la temática del movimiento de la sociedad atendiendo al problema de la existencia, en la actualidad, de formas llamadas "primitivas" y "modernas", o "espontáneas" y "sistemáticas" en las luchas del movimiento popular. Para ello tomaremos hechos producidos en la Argentina entre 1989 y hoy. La parte referida a la "revuelta" es resultado de una investigación que se encuentra en su etapa final, y una reseña de la misma se encuentra en este mismo volumen. La parte referida al "motín" y la huelga corresponde a una investigación que está comenzando, y por lo tanto los resultados presentados son provi sorios. La década del 1980 terminó en la Argentina en medio de una crisis, considerada el fin de un ciclo en la vida nacional, que abarcó lo económico -hiperinflación-, político -renuncia del presidente de la Nación- y social -"ruptura del contrato social"--Y cuya expresión más evidente fueron los "saqueos de supermercados" en 1989 y 1990.

This book makes a relevant contribution to a Marxist critical explanation of social conflicts, social movements and protests. There is abundant literature on social conflict and social movements from Marxist perspectives. However, rigorous criticism, both theoretical and methodological, is scarce. The objective of this volume is the collection of works developing a critical reflection on the categories of theories about contentious collective action and social movements from a Marxist perspective. In order to better understand these phenomena and go beyond their mere case description, the theory needs to be improved.
