Robust Nonlinear Regression written by Hossein Riazoshams and has been published by John Wiley & Sons this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2018-06-11 with Mathematics categories.

The first book to discuss robust aspects of nonlinear regression—with applications using R software Robust Nonlinear Regression: with Applications using R covers a variety of theories and applications of nonlinear robust regression. It discusses both parts of the classic and robust aspects of nonlinear regression and focuses on outlier effects. It develops new methods in robust nonlinear regression and implements a set of objects and functions in S-language under SPLUS and R software. The software covers a wide range of robust nonlinear fitting and inferences, and is designed to provide facilities for computer users to define their own nonlinear models as an object, and fit models using classic and robust methods as well as detect outliers. The implemented objects and functions can be applied by practitioners as well as researchers. The book offers comprehensive coverage of the subject in 9 chapters: Theories of Nonlinear Regression and Inference; Introduction to R; Optimization; Theories of Robust Nonlinear Methods; Robust and Classical Nonlinear Regression with Autocorrelated and Heteroscedastic errors; Outlier Detection; R Packages in Nonlinear Regression; A New R Package in Robust Nonlinear Regression; and Object Sets. The first comprehensive coverage of this field covers a variety of both theoretical and applied topics surrounding robust nonlinear regression Addresses some commonly mishandled aspects of modeling R packages for both classical and robust nonlinear regression are presented in detail in the book and on an accompanying website Robust Nonlinear Regression: with Applications using R is an ideal text for statisticians, biostatisticians, and statistical consultants, as well as advanced level students of statistics.

Nonlinear Smoothing And Multiresolution Analysis written by Carl Rohwer and has been published by Springer Science & Business Media this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2006-01-17 with Mathematics categories.

This monograph presents a new theory for analysis, comparison and design of nonlinear smoothers, linking to established practices. Although a part of mathematical morphology, the special properties yield many simple, powerful and illuminating results leading to a novel nonlinear multiresolution analysis with pulses that may be as natural to vision as wavelet analysis is to acoustics. Similar to median transforms, they have the advantages of a supporting theory, computational simplicity, remarkable consistency, full trend preservation, and a Parceval-type identity. Although the perspective is new and unfamiliar to most, the reader can verify all the ideas and results with simple simulations on a computer at each stage. The framework developed turns out to be a part of mathematical morphology, but the additional specific structures and properties yield a heuristic understanding that is easy to absorb for practitioners in the fields like signal- and image processing. The book targets mathematicians, scientists and engineers with interest in concepts like trend, pulse, smoothness and resolution in sequences.

Advanced Problems In Constructive Approximation written by Martin D. Buhmann and has been published by Birkhäuser this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2012-12-06 with Mathematics categories.

The current form of modern approximation theory is shaped by many new de velopments which are the subject of this series of conferences. The International Meetings on Approximation Theory attempt to keep track in particular of fun damental advances in the theory of function approximation, for example by (or thogonal) polynomials, (weighted) interpolation, multivariate quasi-interpolation, splines, radial basis functions and several others. This includes both approxima tion order and error estimates, as well as constructions of function systems for approximation of functions on Euclidean spaces and spheres. It is a piece of very good fortune that at all of the IDoMAT meetings, col leagues and friends from all over Europe, and indeed some count ries outside Europe and as far away as China, New Zealand, South Africa and U.S.A. came and dis cussed mathematics at IDoMAT conference facility in Witten-Bommerholz. The conference was, as always, held in a friendly and congenial atmosphere. After each meeting, the delegat es were invited to contribute to the proceed ing's volume, the previous one being published in the same Birkhäuser series as this one. The editors were pleased about the quality of the contributions which could be solicited for the book. They are refereed and we should mention our gratitude to the referees and their work.

Agro Geoinformatics written by Liping Di and has been published by Springer Nature this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2021-04-12 with Science categories.

This volume collects and presents the fundamentals, tools, and processes of utilizing geospatial information technologies to process remotely sensed data for use in agricultural monitoring and management. The issues related to handling digital agro-geoinformation, such as collecting (including field visits and remote sensing), processing, storing, archiving, preservation, retrieving, transmitting, accessing, visualization, analyzing, synthesizing, presenting, and disseminating agro-geoinformation have never before been systematically documented in one volume. The book is edited by International Conference on Agro-Geoinformatics organizers Dr. Liping Di (George Mason University), who coined the term “Agro-Geoinformatics” in 2012, and Dr. Berk Üstündağ (Istanbul Technical University) and are uniquely positioned to curate and edit this foundational text. The book is composed of eighteen chapters that can each stand alone but also build on each other to give the reader a comprehensive understanding of agro-geoinformatics and what the tools and processes that compose the field can accomplish. Topics covered include land parcel identification, image processing in agricultural observation systems, databasing and managing agricultural data, crop status monitoring, moisture and evapotranspiration assessment, flood damage monitoring, agricultural decision support systems and more.
