That is, her sense of community, acts of neighboring and community attachment. Furthermore, social structural factors such as stage of life cycle, nature of work and social status play an important role in determining options available for women's participation within their community. These findings provide support for the systematic model of urban impact. The implications of their findings for a social psychological theory of rural community life are discussed.
