Si en la presente edicion del Romancero general. Así c°mo en la de l°s anteriores, se echan de menos las comp°siciones místicas y devotas. No es p°r desconocer su importancia, sino por c°nsiderarlas a pr°pósito para un trabajo especial que c°ntenga los pensamient°s primitivos, y la idealidad poética que losviviñca en las nacientes sociedades. Beñriéndome en todo a lo que en el discurso preliminar al Romancer° de caba lla - creas histórico: he dicho sobre el origen de la c°mbinacion métrica llamada r°mance, añadiré. Para evitar dudas, que en el presente caso esta v°z expresa la idea de una c°mp°sicion de vers°s iguales. Que, n° excediendo de °cho'st labas cada un°.
