Other story contributors include two men who have received numerous Presidential and Congressional recognitions, founders of successful corporations, ministry and business leaders, a university founder, authors, inventors, scientists, and international motivational speakers. Several contributors have experienced face-to-face encounters with the Lord, and one contributor was given a personal tour of Heaven after he died, before he came back to life again to share his incredible story. contributors also include persons who have had miraculous encounters with Jesus, have seen parts of Heaven, and even one man who was declared dead, went to Heaven, and came back to share his experiences. All of these wonderful story contributors have come together for one purpose-to share their compelling and uniquely personal miracles and Salvation encounters with you. Of particular note, all of these story contributors who have chosen to freely share their amazingly dramatic, awe-inspiring stories, have also agreed to include their first and last names, along with the city, state and country in which they reside. The Salvation Story is a book written with the intentions to make known God’s side of the story of grace for those who wish to explore the Christian faith. In the book, you will discover grace as the salvation offered to mankind by God through the blood sacrifice of his Son, Jesus Christ, a salvation which man does not deserve but has been offered because of the infinite love God feels toward mankind. The book explains to the reader how anyone, despite the sinful nature we all share, can be saved just by accepting the sacrifice Jesus Christ offered to the Father. In the book, faith takes on a deeper dimension as the author shares her personal struggles with kidney failure and how her deep-rooted belief that her personal relationship with God will carry her through her medical struggles. It is a book that shows the reader that their faith walk was never meant to be a bed of roses. Using Abraham’s faith walk as an example, the author has demonstrated that there will be obstacles along the way, but with our eyes firmly fixed on the Lord Jesus, He will lead us to our final destination—heaven. With a strong faith in God and desire to set our will aside and follow His commandments, the author implies that we can successfully resist the worldly temptations of sin and therefore live an abundant Christian life as Jesus promised those who will believe in Him in John 10:10.

Finalist for the 2021 National Jewish Book Award in American Jewish Studies Honorable Mention, 2021 Saul Viener Book Prize, given by the American Jewish Historical Society Reveals nostalgia as a new way of maintaining Jewish continuity In 2007, the Museum at Eldridge Street opened at the site of a restored nineteenth-century synagogue originally built by some of the first Eastern European Jewish immigrants in New York City. Visitors to the museum are invited to stand along indentations on the floor where footprints of congregants past have worn down the soft pinewood. Here, many feel a palpable connection to the history surrounding them. Beyond the Synagogue argues that nostalgic activities such as visiting the Museum at Eldridge Street or eating traditional Jewish foods should be understood as American Jewish religious practices. In making the case that these practices are not just cultural, but are actually religious, Rachel B. Gross asserts that many prominent sociologists and historians have mistakenly concluded that American Judaism is in decline, and she contends that they are looking in the wrong places for Jewish religious activity. If they looked outside of traditional institutions and practices, such as attendance at synagogue or membership in Jewish Community Centers, they would see that the embrace of nostalgia provides evidence of an alternative, under-appreciated way of being Jewish and of maintaining Jewish continuity. Tracing American Jews’ involvement in a broad array of ostensibly nonreligious activities, including conducting Jewish genealogical research, visiting Jewish historic sites, purchasing books and toys that teach Jewish nostalgia to children, and seeking out traditional Jewish foods, Gross argues that these practices illuminate how many American Jews are finding and making meaning within American Judaism today.

This is Book One of a six book series on Nazarene soteriology (salvation). This book applies the insights gained from studying 2,000 years of Christian salvation to our modern situation. It examines modern salvation experiences as interpreted by Scripture, Christian tradition, rational responses, and emotional encounters with God. The perspective comes from the Nazarene view of two works of grace as Christian Conversion and Holy Purpose. Holy Purpose always follows Christian Conversion. The other five books look at previous historical periods.

"If it ain't broke, don't fix it." But it's no secret that the Christian church is "broke," and does need fixing. Despite great effort, things are going badly for us. We've tried trendy and tech-savvy, entrepreneurial and coffee-house gritty. They're not helping. Our problem is deeper than that. Our problem is our instincts--instincts informed by our story. There was a time when the Christian church was a powerfully transformative presence in society. It can be again--but it will require radical rethinking of the story that informs our instincts. And it's time! It's been five hundred years since the Reformation, our last major update. Today is a pivotal moment in history. With our worldview upended by quantum physics, history is demanding we renew the Christian story for our times. Rethinking Our Story reframes the elements of the Christian narrative for the new era. It explores "quantum" ways of thinking about God, human nature, Jesus, salvation, and the afterlife. The future of the church and the health of our society depend on our willingness to rethink, retell, and live out a better story. We will either update our instincts and contribute to the earth's well-being--or disappear into oblivion.
