Sarah Zak. Born in Germany, she started her career as a hairstylist and makeup artist before discovering the world of analog photography in 2016. From the beginning, her main topic was clear: beautiful women. With passion and a love for travel, she found women from all over the world who were willing to show themselves in front of her camera. What started as a hobby slowly developed into a bigger vision. Today, Sarah focuses mainly on her project "sarahlikesprettygirls". In addition to her publications on social media, with a wide reach and awareness, she now also collaborates with galleries and other artists around the world. For her second photo book, she chose Mexico City as the setting. The city fascinated her with its colors, its energy and its history and architecture. There she met and took portraits of numerous women - locals and travelers alike. Each photograph was captured on 35mm film, creating an "analog imperfection" that, in addition to its natural aesthetic, creates a special closeness to the women photographed. In a world of nude photography dominated by men, Sarah Zak's work breaks down stereotypes and creates a space for a unique beauty and power in women. Immerse yourself in this special collaboration and experience the sensual and inspiring world of female nude photography.

An ode to the natural. Analogue and intimate nude photography from Berlin.0Sometimes imperfect is the perfect. Sarah Zak?s work represents exactly that. It?s a refreshing honest pictorial of women made by women. No artificial posing, no stilted?photoshop-bodies?, just real images of girls that are anyhow a lot m ore attractive than anything that?s artificially modified. This is an ode to naturalness. And so good to see in a world where anyhow so many things are edited to the utmost. (Christine Guggenberger).

PAPERBACK ORIGINAL A stunning new photobook featuring more than fifty portraits of children brought up by gay parents in America, sixth in a groundbreaking series that looks at LGBTQ communities around the world Judges, academics, and activists keep wondering how children are impacted by having gay parents. Maybe it’s time to ask the kids. For the past four years, award-winning photographer Gabriela Herman, whose mother came out when Herman was in high school and was married in one of Massachusetts’ first legal same-sex unions, has been photographing and interviewing children and young adults with one or more parent who identify as lesbian, gay, trans, or queer. Building on images featured in a major article for the New York Times Sunday Review and The Guardian and working with the Colage organization, the only national organization focusing on children with LGBTQ parents, The Kids brings a vibrant energy and sensitivity to a wide range of experiences. Some of the children Herman photographed were adopted, some conceived by artificial insemination. Many are children of divorce. Some were raised in urban areas, other in the rural Midwest and all over the map. These parents and children juggled silence and solitude with a need to defend their families on the playground, at church, and at holiday gatherings. This is their story. The Kids was designed by Emerson, Wajdowicz Studios (EWS).

Uncovering the lost history of gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender artists in New York City. Queer people have always flocked to New York seeking freedom, forging close-knit groups for support and inspiration. Gay Gotham brings to life the countercultural artistic communities that sprang up over the last hundred years, a creative class whose radical ideas would determine much of modern culture. More than 200 images—both works of art, such as paintings and photographs, as well as letters, snapshots, and ephemera—illuminate their personal bonds, scandal-provoking secrets at the time and many largely unknown to the public since. Starting with the bohemian era of the 1910s and 1920s, when the pansy craze drew voyeurs of all types to Greenwich Village and Harlem, the book winds through midcentury Broadway as well as Fire Island as it emerged as a hotbed, turns to the post-Stonewall, decade-long wild party that revolved around clubs like the Mineshaft and Studio 54, and continues all the way through the activist mobilization spurred by the AIDS crisis and the move toward acceptance at the century’s close. Throughout, readers encounter famous figures, from James Baldwin and Mae West to Leonard Bernstein, and discover lesser-known ones, such as Harmony Hammond, Greer Lankton, and Richard Bruce Nugent. Surprising relationships emerge: Andy Warhol and Mercedes de Acosta, Robert Mapplethorpe and Cecil Beaton, George Platt Lynes and Gertrude Stein. By peeling back the overlapping layers of this cultural network that thrived despite its illicitness, this groundbreaking publication reveals a whole new side of the history of New York and celebrates the power of artistic collaboration to transcend oppression.

B A D Beautiful And Determined written by Erika Z. Figabomba and has been published by Drago (Roma) this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2021 with Photography categories.

Photographers Erika Z. Figabomba and Alessandra Tisato drove from Nevada through San Diego and up to the San Francisco Bay Area taking over 10,000 photos of beautiful, powerful women and non-binary people. These photographs celebrate beauty in a way that is far from the polished, glossy images of fashion and advertising; they also explore the meaning of nakedness in a society that seems to prioritize superficial entertainment over women/non-binary sexuality and overall body positivity. With 224 pages and more than 100 color photographs, this collection is a celebration of Beauty, Determination and Empowerment free from all genders and stereotypes. B.A.D. Beautiful And Determined is a revolution brought out to you through hundreds of photographs taken all around the world in more than 6 years. With critical texts by Carlotta Cossutta, a precarious researcher in political philosophy, who works on feminism and queer theories in and out of academia, and Elle Stanger, a queer person who writes sex education, short stories and advice columns and works to reduce shame and harm related to sexuality and touch, B.A.D. is more than a visual masterpiece. These women embrace nudity on their own terms; they love and cherish their bodies. Many of them are politically active, and all have strong opinions and give back to their communities on a daily basis. Rather than trying to find a single, one-dimensional answer to the definition of female and non-binary empowerment, B.A.D. (Beautiful And Determined) showcases a wide variety of positive and inspirational examples. Having previously worked in street and commercial photography, we felt the need to celebrate the life of those who hold an important place in our hearts and minds; women whose lifestyle is fierce and passionate, who have something to say and who are a step ahead of the typical idea of a model. This project was later brought to Europe where it continued to develop. The collected material is both powerful and diverse; it only seemed natural to bring it all together in a book: B.A.D. was born. B.A.D. will also include written content, produced by the models themselves, revolving around the subjects of sex, love, fetish, and relationships, as well as reflections on topics such as the display of female nudity and the role of women in society.--Drago
