Lucy Brown's world transforms when she is adopted by billionaire James Washington, the owner of the enchanting yet eerie Washington Manor. For the first time, she feels a sense of belonging, and her vivid imagination finds a playground amid the ancient walls echoing with whimsical whispers of Fantoria-the cradle of imagination and the birthplace of imaginary friends. But darkness lurks as Lucy uncovers a staggering truth: James is the displaced King Vladimir Victorious of Fantoria, dethroned by the traitor known only as Heartless, who traded his own heart for dark magic. With Heartless severing the magical link between the worlds, Lucy's mysterious key might be the only hope to restore the rightful king and rekindle the magic that fuels Fantoria. Venturing into Fantoria, Lucy seeks the youthful Vladimir to unite against the malevolent Heartless. “Wealth without work Pleasure without conscience Science without humanity Knowledge without character Politics without principle Commerce without morality Worship without sacrifice. https://vidjambov.blogspot.com/2023/01/book-inventory-vladimir-djambov-talmach.html St. Vladimir was a devout pagan in his early life. He was a great conqueror who had many wives and erected many pagan statues in the lands that he ruled over. Upon finding out that other faiths existed beyond his own paganism, he decided to send his envoys out into the world to find out what was true faith on earth. His envoys met with Muslims, but felt that there was no joy among them, and that their faith was very mechanical. The envoys also met with Jews and Catholics, but were still unimpressed. Everything changed, however, when the envoys arrived in Constantinople. Upon attending Divine Liturgy in Hagia Sophia, the envoys said, "We no longer knew whether we were in heaven or on earth." Taking the word of his envoys, St. Vladimir had himself and his nation baptized into the Orthodox Christian Church. St. Vladimir changed completely after his baptism. He destroyed all the pagan statues that stood in Kievan Rus', and replaced them with churches. He also attempted to live in peace as much as possible with his neighbors and had only one wife. The holy and right-believing Vladimir (Svyatoslavich), Baptizer of Kievan Rus' (958-1015) was the Grand Prince of Kiev when Orthodox Christianity was introduced into present day Russia and Ukraine. He is also the grandson of St. Olga, and the father of Sts. Boris and Gleb the Passion-Bearers (and the first saints of the Russian lands). He is commemorated by the Church on July 15. Hymns to St. Vladimir Troparion (Tone 4) Holy Prince Vladimir, you were like a merchant in search of fine pearls. By sending servants to Constantinople for the Orthodox Faith, you found Christ, the priceless pearl. He appointed you to be another Paul, washing away in baptism your physical and spiritual blindness. We celebrate your memory, asking you to pray for all Orthodox Christians and for us, your spiritual children. Kontakion (Tone 8) Most glorious Vladimir, in your old age you imitated the great apostle Paul: he abandoned childish things, while you forsook the idolatry of your youth. Together with him you reached the fullness of divine wisdom: You were adorned with the purity of holy baptism. Now as you stand before Christ our Savior, pray that all Orthodox Christians may be saved.

The author, Galina Andreyev (Khailo), was born in 1962, in the former USSR in the city of Krasniy Luch, English translation is "Red Beam." She grew up in a Christian family of 15 children. Behind the closed "Iron Curtain," the KGB persecuted faithful Christians including Galina's parents for their beliefs in Christ. Vladimir Khailo, Galina's father "started new underground church in his house, and by doing that he subjected himself to be persecuted for Christ because he knows that Jesus is the Truth and He is the Way to Heaven. Vladimir suffered for Jesus Christ in Soviet prison for seven years. KGB tortured the Khailo family with prisons and experimental drugs for Parents' Faith. Galina was over six months pregnant, the KGB tortured her with drugs and killed the baby. Through all the years of persecution and torture, family felt the presence of God. The U.S. Congress and Christian Solidarity International demanded the Soviet KGB to stop torturing the family and they demanded the Soviet government to let the family to freedom. In 1987, while the Soviet "Iron Curtain" was closed, Galina's family was permitted to leave the USSR and with the greatest exception they were allowed to enter the United States of America. This is a miracle that was performed by our God. What was impossible for the family, God made it possible. God raised the family up, to more than they could be. All this was the act of God. Praise the Lord! Galina V Andreyev, Khailo

Vladimir Nabokov In Context written by David M. Bethea and has been published by Cambridge University Press this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2020-06-25 with Literary Criticism categories.

Vladimir Nabokov, bilingual writer of dazzling masterpieces, is a phenomenon that both resists and requires contextualization. This book challenges the myth of Nabokov as a sole genius who worked in isolation from his surroundings, as it seeks to anchor his work firmly within the historical, cultural, intellectual and political contexts of the turbulent twentieth century. Vladimir Nabokov in Context maps the ever-changing sites, people, cultures and ideologies of his itinerant life which shaped the production and reception of his work. Concise and lively essays by leading scholars reveal a complex relationship of mutual influence between Nabokov's work and his environment. Appealing to a wide community of literary scholars this timely companion to Nabokov's writing offers new insights and approaches to one of the most important, and yet most elusive writers of modern literature.
