Anschließend werden die Autorin Amy Chua und ihr Buch „Die Mutter des Erfolgs“ vorgestellt; Chua spricht viel über chinesische Mütter und chinesische Erziehungsmethoden. Zum Schluss sollen das chinesische Erziehungskonzept, das aktuelle Bildungssystem und die Erziehungsziele und Erziehungsmethoden in China betrachtet und dahingehend diskutiert werden, ob wir hier von Schwarzer Pädagogik im Sinne Rutschkys sprechen können. Sozialisation und Erziehung markieren einen Übergang von der biologisch-genetischen zur kulturellen Evolution. Mit Erziehung werden die gesellschaftliche Reproduktion und Kohäsion, die Integration, aber auch die individuelle Entwicklung gesichert. Die Erzogenen übernehmen gesetzte Normen, Wertvorstellungen und andere Orientierungen sowie Handlungsmuster des Erziehenden. Die Frage, welche Erziehungsmethoden in diesem Prozess verwendet werden sollen, wird oft zur Diskussion gebracht.

Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) lies at the heart of global, regional and national policy agendas, with the goal of achieving socially and environmentally just development through the provision of inclusive, equitable quality education for all.
