Il test richiede di eseguire in successione 2 trascrizioni nel corsivo appreso a scuola di una semplice frase proposta in script (stampatello minuscolo), secondo differenti consegne che si focalizzano sull’accuratezza oppure sulla rapidità della grafia. L’analisi si basa sulla quantificazione di 12 variabili (indici o parametri) che caratterizzano l’efficienza o l’inefficienza dello scritto, consentendo di ricavare informazioni rispetto a tre aree di interesse: – l’efficienza nell’apprendimento del movimento di scrittura in corsivo; – la velocità di esecuzione del compito; – la leggibilità dello scritto, ottenuta dalla valutazione combinata di 10 dei parametri considerati. Infine, il DGM prevede che l’operatore, nel fare il bilancio della performance, possa anche osservare e considerare per ciascun bambino l’eventuale presenza di abitudini di postura del corpo e prensione della penna poco funzionali alla produzione di una scrittura fluida e ben organizzata.
