A man dedicated to destroying all warships on the planet...Captain Nemo. Will Jules and Alexander be able to persuade the powerful Captain Nemo to help them with their mission, or is this the end of their journey and their lives? A fun, romp through history as three of the greatest men alive...two authors, and one a powerful pirate...are enmeshed in an urgent mission to save the world from ending.

Set against the turbulent years of the Napoleonic era, Alexandre Dumas's thrilling adventure story is one of the most widely read romantic novels of all time. In it the dashing young hero, Edmond Dantès, is betrayed by his enemies and thrown into a secret dungeon in the Chateau d'If -- doomed to spend his life in a dank prison cell. The story of his long, intolerable years in captivity, his miraculous escape, and his carefully wrought revenge creates a dramatic tale of mystery and intrigue and paints a vision of France -- a dazzling, dueling, exuberant France -- that has become immortal.

"Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea: A Tour of the Underwater World" is a classic action-adventure novel by French author Jules Verne. Published in 1870, "Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea" has become one of the most widely recognized novels in the science fiction genre. Much alike to the famous at-sea adventure novel "Moby Dick," naturalist Dr. Aronnax sets out on an epic conquest to capture an evasive sea monster. In this novel, their submarine, the Nautilus, Captain Nemo, and Doctor Aronnax travel deep into the uncharted territory of a hazardous sea, facing several underwater perils along the way.

The Secret of the Island was another of the series of Voyages Extraordinaires which ran through a famous Paris magazine for younger readers, the Magasin Illustre. It formed the third and completing part of the Mysterious Island set of tales of adven-ture. We may count it, taken separately, as next to Robinson Cru-soe and possibly Treasure Island, the best read and the best appre-ciated book in all that large group of island-tales and sea-stories to which it belongs. It gained its vogue immediately in France, Great Britain, and overseas besides being translated, with more or less despatch, into other European tongues. M. Jules Verne must indeed have gained enough by it and its two connective tales to have acquired an island of his own. The present book was translated into English by the late W.H.G. Kingston; and is printed in Everyman's Library by special exclusive arrangement with Messrs Sampson Low.. Chapter One. It was now two years and a half since the castaways from the balloon had been thrown on Lincoln Island, and during that period there had been no communication between them and their fellow-creatures. Once the reporter had attempted to communicate with the inhabited world by confiding to a bird a letter which contained the secret of their situation, but that was a chance on which it was impossible to reckon seriously. Ayrton, alone, under the circumstances which have been related, had come to join the little colony. Now, suddenly, on this day, the 17th of October, other men had unexpectedly appeared in sight of the island, on that deserted sea!
