Wo früher der institutionalisierte Vereinssport nahezu alle jugendlichen Sporttreibenden angezogen hat, entscheiden sich heute viele junge Menschen für selbstorganisierte, kreative Sportarten wie z.B. das Skateboarden. Ohne Zweifel sind auch die traditionellen Vereine nach wie vor ein Anziehungspunkt für sehr viele Jugendliche, sie haben aber Konkurrenz bekommen, die sich durch vollkommen andere Ausgestaltungen im Trainingsprozess sowie im Wettbewerb auszeichnen. Diese Unterschiede möchte ich aufzeigen und deren Bedeutung für die Entwicklung von Jugendlichen verdeutlichen. Es stellt sich die Frage, wie sich Jugendliche Selbst- und Welterfahrung aneignen. Hier ist zu überprüfen, wie sich diese Erfahrungen nach den unterschiedlichen Auffassungen von Sport und Bewegung unterscheiden. Schließlich soll die Bedeutung eines selbstentwickelnden und eigenverantwortlichen Lernens im Schulsport untersucht werden. Welche Vor- und Nachteile ergeben sich aus einem offenen Unterricht, in den die Schüler eigene Ideen einbringen und auch das Ergebnis offen bleibt gegenüber einem Lernen, das unter vorgegebenen Richtlinien und Zielen abläuft? Zunächst werde ich die "Lebenseinstellung" der Jugendlichen - ihre Wertvorstellungen und ihre Einstellung gegenüber der Gesellschaft, in der sie leben - beschreiben, um auf dieser Basis die Sport- und Bewegungskultur der Heranwachsenden zu beleuchten.

The purpose of inclusion policy is to prevent the marginalization of people who experience unfavorable circumstances in life. It is an approach to the education of students with disabilities that is based on a commitment to what all members of a free society deserve in order to become fully participating members--a fair chance to find a meaningful place in their own communities. This book is a kind of status report on what inclusive education has achieved and what it may achieve in the future for children and youth with disabilities. It describes the philosophical, legal, and practical terrain covered by inclusion policy in general and inclusive schooling in particular.
