Puso visitar los lugares Santos de Jerusalén, ínterin el fis cal despachaba dicha causa en Roma; verijíeó su viage fe lzzmente, y sus amigos nos llenamos de inquietud y deseos de saber todo lo que le habia pasado en tan larga peregrina czon. Luego que tuve el honor de abrazarla, le pedi algunos apuntes de su piadosa expedicion, y satisfizo mi curiosidad franqueándome impresa en Roma, la breve y sencilla nar. Racion que ahora presento al público, y autorizándome para que la reimprimiese. Era preciso hacerlo asi; ya, por el cor to número de ejemplares que habrá traido para satisfacer los deseos de una multitud de personas piadosas, ó curiosas, que desean tener noticias de la Palestina; ya, porque dicha nar racwn está plagada de erratas de imprenla; tanto, que en lafé de ellas llega su número á Ciento y ocho, sin contar con las que se le fueron por alto al revisor, ¿innumerables en la puntuacion y prosódia: en Roma apenas se sabe componer en español, por lo que esta relacion, aunque corta, tardó algunos meses, en publicarse.
