El tema principal es el reto de lateralidad que tiene que enfrentar el guitarrista zurdo en su proceso de adaptación de la técnica de la guitarra y los factores que determinan el éxito en el desarrollo de la ejecución y estudio del instrumento. Los posibles problemas secundarios que trata la investigación son los mitos que existen con relación a los zurdos, la ignorancia que existe con relación a la lateralidad y la impostancia que representa la misma en el desarrollo musical del individuo en cuestión. Adicional a la falta de recursos para los intérpretes zurdos. Esta investigación debe enfocarse en la población de guitarristas, entre las edades de 10 a 60 años aproximadamente, que su lado es el izquierdo y demustran haber superado los obstáculos técnicos que representa el problema de adaptación de lateralidad o estar trabajando en ello. Es importante este tema para esclarecer los mitos e identificar los retos de lateralidad que enfrenta el guitarrista zurdo y así entender mejor una población que coexiste como minoría, se adapta y triunfa exitosamente, en todos los planos sociales, especialmente en la música.
