Millions of Christians are abandoning their churches to become spiritual seekers, but now find themselves adrift. Without the church what do we believe in? Where do we look for the Sacred in our lives? The seed of an answer can be found in the Roman Catholic sacraments, but with a shift in focus from rites and rituals to human experience. It's not baptism, it's the birth of a child that is holy. It's not the wedding ceremony, it's the sublime oneness we feel in the arms of our best-beloved that lifts us into the realm of the Divine. Seven Sacraments for Everyone maps the roads that lead to these out-of-this-world experiences and into the heartland of the Sacred. By acknowledging these moments of Mystery and teaching our children to respect them, we will find the clues to a universal moral code on which to build a healthier, more meaningful world....

Our Lady of Good Success, to Mother Mariana, on January 21, 1610: "It will be difficult to receive the Sacrament of Baptism and also that of Confirmation...the devil will make a great effort to destroy the Sacrament of Confession by means of people in positions of authority." "Unbridled passions will give way to a total corruption of customs because Satan will reign through the Masonic sects, targeting the children in particular to ensure general corruption. "Unhappy, the children of those times! Seldom will they receive the Sacraments of Baptism and Confirmation. As for the sacrament of Penance, they will confess only while attending Catholic schools, which the devil will do his utmost to destroy by means of persons in authority. "They will focus principally on the children in order to sustain this general corruption. Woe to the children of these times! It will be difficult to receive the Sacrament of Baptism, and also that of Confirmation... "The same will occur with Holy Communion. Oh, how it hurts me to tell you that there will be many and enormous public and hidden sacrileges! There will be an unspeakable profanation of the Holy Eucharist in our time: "...the enemies of Jesus Christ, instigated by the devil, will steal consecrated Hosts from the churches so that they may profane the Eucharistic species. My Most Holy Son will see himself cast upon the ground and trampled upon by filthy feet." "As for the Sacrament of Matrimony... it will be attacked and deeply profaned... The Catholic spirit will rapidly decay; the precious light of the Faith will gradually be extinguished... "The Sacrament of Matrimony, which symbolizes the union of Christ with the Church, will be thoroughly attacked and profaned. Masonry, then reigning, will implement iniquitous laws aimed at extinguishing this Sacrament. They will make it easy for all to live in sin, thus multiplying the birth of illegitimate children without the Church's blessing.... Added to this will be the effects of secular education, which will be one reason for the dearth of priestly and religious vocations. Like the Eucharist, the Sacrament of Holy Matrimony will be profaned in a multitude of ways resulting in "iniquitous laws with the objective of doing away with this Sacrament, making it easy for everyone to live in sin, encouraging the procreation of illegitimate children born without the blessing of the Church. The Christian spirit will rapidly decay, extinguishing the precious light of faith until it reaches a point that there will be an almost total and general corruption of customs." "The Sacrament of Holy Orders will be ridiculed, oppressed, and despised, for in this both the Church and God Himself are oppressed and reviled, since He is represented by His priests.... The Devil will try to persecute the ministers of the Lord in every possible way; he will labor with cruel and subtle astuteness to deviate them from the spirit of their vocation and will corrupt many of them. These depraved priests, who will scandalize the Christian people, will make the hatred of bad Catholics and the enemies of the Roman Catholic and Apostolic Church fall upon all priests... People will not esteem the Sacrament of Holy Unction and many will die without receiving it. Our Lady predicted that, because of this, "many souls will be deprived of innumerable graces, consolations and the strength they need to make that great leap from time to eternity." This book examines God's plan for man's salvation, from the sacrifices of Melchisedech and the Patriachs, through the old testament Temple sacrifices, up till the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, and the seven Sacraments, as well as, an evaluation of the Norvus Ordoe and the Usus Antiquior, the form and matter of their Sacraments; in the light of the deepest concerns expressed by Our Lady of Good Success

Unlike what happened in the West, in the Christian Orthodox country of Greece, whose spiritual state inspired this book, it is not easy to bring the Evangelion regarding repentance, forgiveness, and salvation by Grace alone. As far back as 1949, the Church reacted vehemently to Christian publications, which relying on Biblical evidence, argued that man needs to go directly to the Throne of God, repent, and only then be able to receive the free gift of forgiveness. To this day, theChurch’s stand remains the same. In his book dealing with the Sacrament of Penance,Spyros Filos explains for everyone – especially the Eastern Orthodox and the Roman Catholics – the simple truth about the Reformation. He believes that the sincere, evangelical brokenness of man before God and the submission to free forgiveness is offered by the Father to all who take off the mantle of their own worthiness and put on that of Christ, who took upon Himself the sin of humankind, paying for it in full to give everyone the free gift of salvation. The supporting arguments come from the original Greek text of the NT, Church Fathers, Local and Ecumenical Councils, The Holy Canons, and a rich list of references.

There are seven sacraments administered in the Catholic Church. What are they, and what do they do? Why do human beings require sacramentalized, visible realities to seal their confession of faith in Jesus Christ? Why does the Catholic Church administer the sacraments in the way that it does? Leading Catholic theologian Romanus Cessario, OP, offers an in-depth explanation of the seven sacraments celebrated in the Catholic Church. He addresses the rationale for the sacraments and provides detailed exposition of each one, highlighting the importance of the Catholic tradition--and of Thomas Aquinas, in particular--for contemporary reflection on the sacraments. This book examines why participation in the sacramental life of the Church is required for the believing Christian and helps readers understand the role the sacraments play in the sanctification of the world.

BLISS is a faith-provoking book. Scripture says in Ephesians 2: 8, By the grace of God you have been saved through faith.' Faith is the activator and receptor of the graces of salvation; without faith we are at the risk of losing the grace of salvation. Romans 10: 17 says, Faith comes by hearing the word of Christ.' The quality of a believer's faith is proportional to the amount of God's Word heard, believed, and practised. The sacraments are treasures and containers of the powers of salvation; they contain power for forgivingness, healing, deliverance, freedom, victory, breakthrough, and sundry favours. Faith is the ability and disposition to receive and enjoy these blessings. Faith is necessary for the experience of the awesome powers of the sacraments. Faith releases the sacraments from habitual and conditioned confinement to mere ritual to a life-giving cistern of reality. BLISS is a handy, helpful, and practical book of faith that leads all Christians to tap the abundant powers in the sacraments. BLISS is about getting more and all out of the sacraments as it ought to be.
