Sex. One of the most mysterious words in the entire English language. And in any language, sex remains that mysterious aspect of life that we all want, enjoy, fear and misunderstand. Its power is enormous, able to move powerful men and women sometimes with a mere surge of hormones. It is both the cement of relationships and the destroyer of lives. We all feel it. We all desire it and yet, we understand it poorly. We can disrespect and misuse it. We can allow endless masses of porn to destroy the truth of sexual intimacy. And if that wasn’t a big enough morass of confusion mixed with delight, you add the complication of being adult babies into the mix… and understanding is even further away. Being an adult baby is both deeply confusing and at times overpowering - all in its own right. We do not need the additional layer of confusion that sexuality brings to it. But it is here just the same, regardless of how we feel about it. Believing that you are - in a subjectively real way - still in part, a baby is at odds with the post-pubescent experience of sexual arousal, engagement and climax. How can we be babies and toddlers and still be fully sexual beings? And how do we combine the two without torturing ourselves by the fear of being inappropriate? Many have asked that question and struggled with the dual aspects of who we are – adult and infant. Dylan Lewis begins a deep and detailed analysis of sex and adult babies. He answers some of the complex and confusing aspects of sexual behaviour we experience while still wearing diapers, baby clothes and sucking a dummy. This book has the power to answer academic questions but also to relieve us of the burdens and fears that our dual natures often impose on us. Read and discover the truth of being a sexual being AND an Adult Baby.

Desistance From Sexual Offending written by Kelly Richards and has been published by Routledge this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2021-12-23 with Social Science categories.

This book explores how Circles of Support and Accountability can reduce sexual reoffending. The release of a notorious sex offender from prison strikes fear into members of the public. Media coverage often provokes further panic, casting such offenders as irredeemable monsters and ticking time bombs, destined to continue preying on innocent children and women. In the West, governments have responded by enacting heavily punitive and exclusionary policies, such as public sex offender registers, indefinite detention, and lifetime correctional supervision. A radically different approach – Circles of Support and Accountability (CoSA) – emerged alongside these measures. CoSA are groups of trained volunteers who collectively resist the exclusionary impulse, instead actively supporting those with sexual offence convictions to reintegrate into communities. Despite their seemingly counterintuitive nature, the research is clear that CoSA reduce sexual reoffending far better than more popular draconian sex offender management policies. However, little is understood about how CoSA work. This book begins to address this gap by proposing a new way of understanding how CoSA reduce sexual reoffending. Drawing on 65 in-depth interviews with CoSA participants, it offers a new theoretically-informed empirical explanation of CoSA’s capacity to promote desistance from sexual offending, and to turn those convicted of sexual offenders into law-abiding and productive members of the community. Ultimately it is a call to action, demonstrating that we, the community, must play a more central role in integrating people with sexual offence convictions if we desire safer communities for our children and our selves. This work illuminates new directions for research, policy, and practice, and is essential reading for academics and students engaged in the study of criminology and criminal justice, restorative justice, sexual violence, and reentry

Sexuality in Adolescence: The Digital Generation provides a comprehensive and up-to-date overview of research and theory about adolescent sexuality in today’s world. The book examines biological, social and health-related approaches and reviews qualitative and quantitative research from psychology, sociology, epidemiology and medicine, emphasising the interplay between perspectives and privileging the voices of young people as they discuss the joys and pains of sexual awakening. The focus is on understanding healthy sexual development and its many variations, but problems and issues arising as young people make their journey to adult sexuality are also considered. Just Not That Likable written by Gloria J. Romero and has been published by Post Hill Press this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2021-10-19 with Business & Economics categories.

Gloria Romero—former California Senate Majority Leader and Professor Emeritus of Psychology—shatters the glass ceiling in a sweeping takedown of gender bias at the workplace and the price women and society pay for the virulent, double standard of “the likability factor” that persists in the workplace. She exposes the link between success and likability that 21st-century women leaders face in politics and the workplace. In a book both accessible and enlightening, Senator Romero stands as a woman unafraid to break down barriers for women. As the first female Majority Leader of the upper house in California’s State Legislature, she authored major reform laws in public education, criminal justice, governmental ethics, and transparency. Just Not That Likable is the story of a trailblazer who understood that while the 20th-century sexism of unequal pay for equal work had been outlawed and anti-discrimination laws had become common, there was still a hidden likability penalty and the so-called “double bind” applied to successful women. The book features the most comprehensive review to date of what is known about the “double bind” faced by women executives and leaders: they are expected to exhibit strength and lead, but are penalized as being “abrasive” or exhibiting characteristics stereotyped as being masculine. Drawing on her own life as well, Senator Romero’s journey leads her to the realization that when women smash through the persisting ceiling—still with us in the 21st century—the shards cut. Too deep and too often, these practices and behaviors shut down opportunity for our daughters, sisters, and each other. Just Not That Likable recognizes that our workplaces must promote practices, policies, and cultures which confront and disassemble this double bind for women.
