Diplomarbeit aus dem Jahr 2005 im Fachbereich Soziale Arbeit / Sozialarbeit, Note: 2,0, Universität Duisburg-Essen, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Ich habe mich für das Thema des sexuellen Mißbrauchs von Kindern entschieden, da dieses Thema noch immer ein Tabu in unserer Gesellschaft ist. In den Medien wird zwar oft berichtet, daß ein Kind von einer fremden Person sexuell mißbraucht wurde, doch spiegelt dies nur eine Minderheit der Opfer wieder. Die Mehrheit der Opfer erlebt den sexuellen Mißbrauch innerhalb der Familie. Im Rahmen meines Praxissemesters habe ich ein Praktikum in einem Kinderheim absolviert. Dabei hab ich mit großer Betroffenheit festgestellt, wie viele Kinder es gibt, die innerhalb der Familie sexuell mißbraucht werden. Ich wurde in dem Kinderheim das erste Mal mit diesem Thema konfrontiert und ich beschloß daher mich mit diesem Thema auseinanderzusetzen. Doch leider gibt es nur eine Statistik über die Anzahl der Vorfälle, diese ist die Polizeiliche Kriminalstatistik (PKS), die repräsentativ ist; alle anderen Statistiken beziehen sich nur auf einzelne Bundesländer und sind nur bedingt aussagekräftig. Schließlich spiegelt auch die PKS nicht die Realität wieder, da die Dunkelziffer der Missbrauchsfälle um ein Vielfaches höher liegt. Dies ist verständlich, wenn man bedenkt, daß die meisten Fälle von sexuellem Mißbrauch innerhalb der Familie stattfinden und diese meist nicht zur Anzeige gebracht werden. Da ich in meinem weiteren Leben gerne mit Kindern zusammenarbeiten möchte, werde ich mit größter Wahrscheinlichkeit auch mit sexuell mißbrauchten Kindern in Berührung kommen. Dies war ein Grund für mich, mich im Rahmen meiner Diplomarbeit zunächst mit den Definitionen des sexuellen Mißbrauchs, mit den Folgen und den Therapienmöglichkeiten zu beschäftigen. Die Folgen habe ich in die Sofort- und in die Langzeitfolgen unterteilt. Bei den Therapiemöglichkeiten war mir sehr wichtig, auf die Therapie für Kinder und auf die Therapie für Erwachsene, die in ihrer Kindheit sexuell mißbraucht wurden, einzugehen. [...]
