SINGLE BAR Standar Profesi Advokat yang Tunggal Buku ini berjudul "SINGLE BAR, Standar Profesi Advokat yang Tunggal" Sekalipun profesi Advokat di Indonesia belum sampai di sana, masih proses menuju ke sana yakni adanya standar profesi yang tunggal. Oleh karena itu, setidaknya buku ini akan menunjukkan apa yang seharusnya dilakukan supaya profesi Advokat sampai dan bahkan lebih cepat sampai pada standar itu sekaligus sebagai Nobile Officium. Artinya Profesi Advokat adalah Nobile Officium sudah sungguh menjadi kenyataan, bukan klaim. Jika menelisik realitas hari ini, peran Organisasi Advokat ("OA") yang tugas utamanya melayani advokat, mulai sebagai calon advokat hingga sampai advokat yang bersangkutan telah melayani masyarakat menjadi sangat penting. Apalagi jika dihubungkan dengan pernyataan Menteri Koordinator Bidang Politik, Hukum dan Keamanan, Prof. Mahfud MD bahwa "Hukum di Indonesia kerap dijadikan sebagai industri." Bagaimana menghindari setidaknya meminimalisasi agar Advokat tidak menjadi bagiannya. Mengapa demikian, karena pada dasarnya OA bertujuan meningkatkan kualitas profesi advokat. Integritas merupakan bagiannya. Secara normatif hal ini sudah dinyatakan dalam Undang-Undang No 18 Tahun 2003 tentang Advokat ("UU Advokat"). Secara operasional kemudian telah dijabarkan lebih lanjut dalam Anggaran Dasar dan Peraturan Rumah Tangga PERADI. Oleh karenanya PERADI sebagai OA secara kelembagaan harus memiliki visi, misi dan program yang menjabarkan dalam berbagai kegiatannya agar tujuan itu dapat tercapai. Secara konkrit, PERADI telah menuangkan hal ini dalam "Pokok-Pokok Haluan Program 2020-2025. Secara serentak diharapkan semua stake holder di PERADI cabang, bidang dan anggota mengacunya sebagai panduan untuk sasaran yang satu, yaitu meningkatnya kualitas profesi advokat di Indonesia. Buku ini dibagi dalam tiga bagian, bagian pertama merupakan Prolog yang mendeskripsikan bagaimana advokat dulu berorganisasi dan menjalankan profesinya serta dengan tokoh-tokohnya. Bagian kedua merupakan "Bunga Rampai" tulisan Advokat Peradi dengan judul, gaya dan pendekatan yang berbeda-beda tapi merupakan refleksi pengalaman empirik dan evaluasi masing-masing penulisnya sebagai advokat. Bagian ketiga Epilog merupakan proyeksi ke depan bagaimana harus menjalankan OA supaya profesi advokat itu lebih cepat bisa menjadi Officium Nobile.
