The book is based on his experiences during his tours. Written to give a different view of the war bottom up as opposed to top down and maybe give some insight to the little things that make war unpleasant. The lack of sleep and dreams made this book important to him. His desires are for readers to have the opportunity to read his story from his own views and beliefs and develop their own opinions.

Throughout philosophical history, there has been a recurring argument to the effect that determinism, naturalism, or both are self-referentially incoherent. By accepting determinism or naturalism, one allegedly acquires a reason to reject determinism or naturalism. The Epistemological Skyhook brings together, for the first time, the principal expressions of this argument, focusing primarily on the last 150 years. This book addresses the versions of this argument as presented by Arthur Lovejoy, A.E. Taylor, Kurt Gödel, C.S. Lewis, Norman Malcolm, Karl Popper, J.R. Lucas, William Hasker, Thomas Nagel, Alvin Plantinga, and others, along with the objections presented by their many detractors. It concludes by presenting a new version of the argument that synthesizes the best aspects of the others while also rendering the argument immune to some of the most significant objections made to it.

A scientist and a pilot’s daughter investigate a top-secret computer program that can control any plane in the sky in this spine-tingling thriller from New York Times–bestselling author John J. Nance For eighteen months, Dr. Ben Cole has worked to develop Skyhook, a highly advanced autopilot that can direct aircraft from the ground. On the first test run, something goes wrong over the Gulf of Alaska plunging Cole’s plane toward a supertanker at maximum speed. But moments before impact, the computer switches off, saving his life. Seeking answers, Cole joins forces with April Rosen, whose pilot father narrowly missed his own midair collision over the same waters where Skyhook was tested. Unraveling the mystery of these near-disasters pits Cole and Rosen against shadowy forces within the Pentagon who will go to dangerous lengths to keep the public from discovering the true purpose—and the real dangers—of Skyhook.

The article presents the views of the author about the sky-hook project in the U.S. The National Aeronautics and Space Administration scientists have reported that they successfully deployed a tether. The tether generated an electrical current because it was continually cutting through the earth's magnetic field. It could be used either for power in a space station or to move a satellite into a higher orbit without using any fuel.

SKYHOOK deals with the spirituality of man, as well as with hidden mind content that influences him daily, often adversely. When Art Painter, the inventor of Nuon - a gas lighter than hydrogen - discovers that he has schizophrenic tendencies, he follows the malady's cause back to prehistoric times when the Earth was colonized by inhabitants of a strange planet. Art's journey takes him from the dim reaches of a dangerous past into an unsavory present, where he has to work out his own salvation, and that of those dear to him. Part One of SKYHOOK - Creator's Fate - is set in ancient Earth times. For Part Two - Embodiment's Consequences - and Part Three - Duality's Dilemma - today's South Africa is the setting.

A summary of three 'Skyhook' balloon flights is given followed by detailed flight reports of each flight. The scientific objective was satisfied on each flight. Balloon performance on each flight was good although the time altitude curve of Flight 890 shows a very slow descent starting approximately two hours after launch. In approximately ten hours the balloon descended from 118,000 to 104,000 feet. A small hole in the balloon, which is understandable in consideration of the 1/2 mil polyethylene shell, could account for the slow descent. Operational and launch problems encountered on the flights are outlined. (Author).
