SLANDER IS NOTHING LESS THAN MURDER- MURDERING SOMEONE WITH WORDS! We, the common people, come across slander and libel very often these days with the advent of internet, social-networking sites, forums and blogs. It seems like people lost their ability to "think" before they speak or type anything harmful. It is not hush-hush secret gossips or private friendly "banters" anymore (which is equally sick and disgusting) but it is aired in public where it reaches almost everyone we know. Slanderers are mainly losers who lead loser lives. They are immature, envious, pessimistic attention-seekers who are desperate, unhappy and have a whole lot of mental conditions. Slander causes confusion, anger, shock, trauma, hurt, humiliation, stress, anxiety and depression to the victim and their loved ones. It is a crime and a deadly sin. The most painful thing is when someone who claims to be a Christian slanders a person with lies and assumptions. Christians who are slandered by other "Christians" is traumatized as it is confusing and unexpected to be attacked by someone of your own kind. But are those monsters really of your own kind? Do parts of the same body viz. Christ hurt each other? This book aims to show who a slanderer really is. They are NOT Christians. Understanding about the enemy's true color brings peace as truth will set you free. I know that I will be attacked by the so-called Christians who wants to justify their actions or hobbies of slandering. I don't care. All I want to do is to reach out to those who are being slandered. God bless you. -Sandra Houston

Dr. Morey has written the definitive biblical study of these two sins. "This book is essential reading for all in Christian leadership today. Slanderers and gossipmongers use the internet to rape the Bride of Christ and to drag the name of Jesus through the mud! May God use this powerful book to rebuke these evil doers!" Bishop Colin P. Akridge "Dr. Morey's handbook is full of practical and valuable counsel on recognizing and responding (or not responding) to slander: for instance, 21 signs of how to recognize a gossip monger. Last but not least, what makes this little book especially valuable, are all the contemporary illustrations of gossip and slander, along with the application of biblical principles to them. These illustrations are drawn from Dr. Morey's long ministry and vast experience as a pastor and as a counselor of pastors (pastor pastorum) and their parishioners." Dr. George P. A companion series to the acclaimed Word Biblical Commentary Finding the great themes of the books of the Bible is essential to the study of God's Word and to the preaching and teaching of its truths. These themes and ideas are often like precious gems: they lie beneath the surface and can only be discovered with some difficulty. While commentaries are useful for helping readers understand the content of a verse or chapter, they are not usually designed to help the reader to trace important subjects systematically within a given book a Scripture. The Word Biblical Themes series helps readers discover the important themes of a book of the Bible. This series distills the theological essence of a given book of Scripture and serves it up in ways that enrich the preaching, teaching, worship, and discipleship of God's people. Volumes in this series: Written by top biblical scholars Feature authors who wrote on the same book of the Bible for the Word Biblical Commentary series Distill deep and focused study on a biblical book into the most important themes and practical applications of them Give reader’s an ability to see the "big picture" of a book of the Bible by understanding what topics and concerns were most important to the biblical writers Help address pressing issues in the church today by showing readers see how the biblical writers approached similar issues in their day Ideal for sermon preparation and for other teaching in the church Word Biblical Themes are an ideal resource for any reader who has used and benefited from the Word Biblical Commentary series, and will help pastors, bible teachers, and students as they seek to understand and apply God’s word to their ministry and learning.
