Este livro apresenta um estudo sobre o hipergênero quadrinhos presente nas provas do Exame Nacional do Ensino Médio (ENEM), realizadas no período de 2009 a 2018, em seus diferentes gêneros: cartum, charge e tirinha. Trata-se de uma pesquisa que tem por finalidade analisar como o hipergênero quadrinhos é utilizado nas provas do ENEM, como são elaboradas as questões e quais são os sentidos estabelecidos por meio desses gêneros. Além de abordar diferentes perspectivas de letramento e como este é descrito nas avaliações do ENEM, o presente estudo apresenta um esboço do gênero quadrinhos, desde a sua criação até a contemporaneidade, identificando, em primeira instância, aspectos composicionais, mnemônicos (individuais e coletivos), traços conteudistas e aspectos quantitativos. A coleta de dados foi realizada no site do INEP e o corpus se constitui de questões das provas de língua portuguesa do ENEM, no período de 2009 a 2018. O trabalho analítico realizado mostrou que o hipergênero quadrinhos é utilizado no ENEM, em maioria, para avaliar aspectos sociolinguísticos relacionados a variações linguísticas e demais usos da língua. Foi possível observar, ainda, que o referido hipergênero é muito rico e pode ser utilizado em diferentes áreas do conhecimento. Orientação da professora Dr.a Lusinilda Carla Pinto Martins (UNIR).

This volume presents both an analysis of how identities are built, represented and negotiated in narrative, as well as a theoretical reflection on the links between narrative discourse and identity construction. The data for the book are Mexican immigrants' personal experience narratives and chronicles of their border crossings into the United States. Embracing a view of identity as a construct firmly grounded in discourse and interaction, the author examines and illustrates the multiple threads that connect the local expression and negotiation of identity to the wider social contexts that frame the experience of migration, from material conditions of life in the United States to mainstream discourses about race and color. The analysis reveals how identities emerge in discourse through the interplay of different levels of expression, from implicit adherence to narrative styles and ways of telling, to explicit negotiation of membership categories.
