Have you tried learning Spanish many times, but it was just too boring? Did you know that trying to learn something while being bored is the number one reason against memory retention?Understand how to use the emotion scripting technique, and learn while having fun. This is a technique that intentionally creates different emotional experiences for students at different stages of a lesson. It's a crucial layer in a plan to trigger our long term memory skills. Instead of a plan that consists primarily of monotonous interactions between tutor and learner, this technique adds to the emotional experiences that will occur throughout each paragraph as the story develops. How does this method work? This is the most primitive and efficient way that humans learn their native tongue. From infancy through childhood, we do not learn how to speak by studying the boring technical terms first. A language is learned by necessity, observation, and imitation. We experience emotions such as: happiness, sadness, surprise, need, want, distress, and many other feelings that mark us; because they are meaningful to us. By being emotionally involved when learning a new topic, we trigger long memory retainment. This technique of intentionally creating emotional experiences in students, can turn dull, forgettable learning experiences into fun, memorable ones. Did you know that the number one complaint about learning Spanish, is that it's boring? Did you know that when you are bored while learning something, it does not stay with you in the long term? This story has been designed to teach Spanish while entertaining the reader. The element of escapism is added to this teaching strategy to keep the reader engaged in every chapter. The main emotion we try to evoke in the reader is curiosity, as this is the main pillar for engaging one's interest. Learning while having fun doesn't feel like learning, but feels like a natural outcome from an effortless action. For best results it is recommended to read the book while listening to the audiobook. Listening to the audiobook will help with learning the native pronunciation, and will provide entertainment through the storytelling skills of the narrator. This will also add to the emotional scripting technique. The audiobook should be available within 3 months from the published date of this book. The book is formatted by sentences and paragraphs. It is meant to be studied one sentence or one paragraph at a time. The first paragraph is in Spanish, and the second in English. First carefully read the Spanish paragraph, and then compare to the English version. It also helps to read the Spanish paragraph out loud, and also beneficial to take comparison notes. For the best comparison between the Spanish and English language, the translation has been kept as literal as possible. This style of literature will help the understanding of how the sentence structure works, and how to use Spanish expressions. There are patterns which will become noticeable, and will help show how the Spanish mind works when communicating. In certain instances however, where the literal translation comes out as incorrect English, an American version has been written. It is suggested that first you get caught up in the story, take in the rhythm, and the language patterns. Once the interest for the technical side emerges naturally, then you are free to look into it. This will allow you to take a pragmatic approach fuelled by your own initiative. This strategy will help you learn the technicalities better, as it will be coming from an effortless and natural self motivation. In addition to this book, you can also obtain the study guide exercise book available through Amazon. You can use the search bar to type in Spies Never Retire study guide exercise book. This tool should be available within 1 moth after the official published date of this book. From the New York Times bestselling author of The End of Power comes an edge-of-your-seat political thriller about rival spies, dangerous love, and one of history's most devastating revolutions. Venezuela, 1992. Unknown colonel Hugo Chávez stages an ill-fated coup against a corrupt government, igniting the passions of Venezuela's poor and catapulting the oil-rich country to international attention. For two rival spies hurriedly dispatched to Caracas--one from Washington, DC, and the other from Fidel Castro's Cuba--this is a career-defining mission. Smooth-talking Iván Rincón of Cuba's Intelligence Directorate needs a rebel ally to secure the future of his own country. His job: support Chávez and the revolution by rallying the militants and neutralizing any opposing agents. Meanwhile, the CIA's Cristina Garza will do everything in her power to cut Chávez's influence short. Her priority: stabilize the greatest oil reserves on the planet by ferreting out and eliminating Cuba's principal operative. As Chávez surges to power, Iván and Cristina are caught in the fallout of a toxic political time bomb: an intrepid female reporter and unwitting informant, a drug lord and key architect in Chávez's rise, and personal entanglements between the spies themselves. With everything at stake, the adversaries find themselves at the center of a game of espionage, seduction, murder, and shifting alliances playing out against the precarious backdrop of a nation in free fall. A thrilling fictional story based on unimaginable real-life events.

On their return to New Mexico from El Paso after the 1680 Pueblo Revolt, the New Mexican settlers were confronted with continuous raids by hostile Indians tribes, disease and an inhospitable landscape. In spite of this, in the early and mid-eighteenth century, the New Mexicans went about their daily lives as best they could, as shown in original documents from the time. The documents show them making deals, traveling around the countryside and to and from El Paso and Mexico City, complaining about and arguing with each other, holding festivals, and making plans for the future of their children. It also shows them interacting with the presidio soldiers, the Franciscan friars and Inquisition officials, El Paso and Chihuahua merchants, the occasional Frenchman, and their Pueblo Indian allies. Because many of the documents include oral testimony, we are able to read what they had to say, sometimes angry, asking for help, or giving excuses for their behavior, as written down by a scribe at the time. This book includes fifty-four original handwritten documents from the early and mid-eighteenth century. Most of the original documents are located in the Spanish Archives of New Mexico, although some are from the Bancroft Library at the University of California at Berkeley, the Archivo General de la Nacion in Mexico City, and elsewhere. They were selected for their description of Spanish Colonial life, of interest to the many descendants of the characters that appear in them, and because they tell a good story. A translation and transcription of each document is included as well as a synopsis, background notes, and biographical notes. They can be considered a companion, in part, to Ralph Emerson Twitchell’s 1914 two volumes, The Spanish Archives of New Mexico, summarizing the documents of the Spanish Archives of New Mexico, now available in new editions from Sunstone Press.
