In-Sil Kim is the youngest daughter in her family, and she always considered her father to be peaceful, quiet, sweet and taciturn man and minister of the church. As a little girl, she did not realize that he had experienced various hardships, struggling in spirit and suffering during the Japanese occupation of Korea. One day, his diary happened to come into her hands, and she learned many things about his personal life. Diary of Faith tells the story of Rev. Kim Yoon Jeom’s spiritual life and everyday living experiences. One day he heard a quiet but clear voice coming from somewhere outside of this world. From that time on, he heard God’s voice directly. His life was guided by communication with God, and he received visions from God asking that he write; these revelations persuaded his daughter that his personal narrative should be shared. Though Rev. Kim struggled throughout his life and often confessed himself to be unworthy as a minister of the church of the Lord Jesus Christ and as a servant of God, he was a minister with sincerity and consciousness of self, called by God to accomplish the mission of eternal salvation. This personal diary, translated from Korean to English, shares the spiritual journey of a pastor during the Japanese occupation of Korea.

THE SPIRITUAL DIARY: Dr. Baker has maintained a spiritual diary for fifty years, and using examples from his own entries demonstrates how it is possible, through the language of symbols, to establish a dialogue with one's own Higher Self. This is a perfect companion text book to The Diary of an Alchemist by the same author. The diary lays down a channel for the transmission of advice and direction from the higher Self that can bring about a transformation of the personality, its attachments and limitations. It is a textbook for esoteric students seeking to express themselves more fully about subjective matters as a preliminary to their acting subjectively in the inner planes before and after their initiations. The diary is meant to highlight those difficulties that arise from the adjustments which the disciple must make in the outer world if he is to live the philosophical and meditative way of life. Once posited, the higher Self can make suggestions through meditation and the dream life as to how these adjustments can be effected. An absolutely essential guide to those of you wanting answers to questions like: Who am I? Where do I come from? Why am I here? Where do I go to from here? Why do I have to suffer pain? This volume also contains the full text of “The Voice of the Silence” as translated by H. P. Blavatsky

A Spiritual Diary written by Jennifer Hashmi and has been published by Author House this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2013 with Religion categories.

In her Introduction the author traces her spiritual adventure from the early days of her teen-age practise of contemplation. The relaxation sessions with which each day began at Speech Therapy College began her formal training. A member of the C of E, she had a spiritual director from the Community of the Resurrection in Mirfield, and stayed at the enclosed Convent of the Incarnation in Oxford. After a theology course at College of Ascension Birmingham she sailed for India in 1964. There she was introduced to to the Abhishiktananda Society which promoted Hindu-Christian dialogue. After attending the Inauguration of the Church of North India she visited Gandh-ji's ashram at Sevagram and Vinoba Bhave's ashram not far away. In both of these ashrams the day began before dawn with silent meditation in a dark room lit by a single candle. She was privileged to attend a question/answer session with Vinoba Bhave himself. During those years she read the Upanishads and came to accept the belief in non-duality, advaita, without this in any way compromising her faith in Christ. In 1977 she married Salman Hashmi of the Muslim community and they had a son and a daughter. By the 1990's she was studying New Age methods of meditation, and this Diary is a record of the extraordinary results.

A thousand years ago, a young Japanese girl embarked on a journey from the wild East Country to the capital. She began a diary that she would continue to write for the next forty years and compile later in life, bringing lasting prestige to her family. Some aspects of the author's life and text seem curiously modern. She married at age thirty-three and identified herself as a reader and writer more than as a wife and mother. Enthralled by romantic fiction, she wrote extensively about the disillusioning blows that reality can deal to fantasy. The Sarashina Diary is a portrait of the writer as reader and an exploration of the power of reading to shape one's expectations and aspirations. As a person and an author, this writer presages the medieval era in Japan with her deep concern for Buddhist belief and practice. Her narrative's main thread follows a trajectory from youthful infatuation with romantic fantasy to the disillusionment of age and concern for the afterlife; yet, at the same time, many passages erase the dichotomy between literary illusion and spiritual truth. This new translation captures the lyrical richness of the original text while revealing its subtle structure and ironic meaning. The introduction highlights the poetry in the Sarashina Diary and the juxtaposition of poetic passages and narrative prose, which brings meta-meanings into play. The translators' commentary offers insight into the author's family and world, as well as the fascinating textual legacy of her work.
