Allein durch den wertschätzenden und respektvollen Umgang mit diesen inneren Wahrheiten entsteht Entlastung. Wenn Klientinnen in ihrer beratenden oder therapeutischen Begleiterin jemanden erkennen, welche existenzielle Themen nicht scheut und sich ihrer Sinnfrage annimmt, ergibt sich eine gute Voraussetzungen für eine fruchtbare Zusammenarbeit. Spiritualität im Tanz wurde und wird noch heute in vielen Kulturen praktiziert. Tanztherapie als eine Form bewegungsorientierter und künstlerischer Psychotherapie macht sich die uralte Heilform des Tanzes zunutze. Es kann im Praxisalltag zu einer Berührung mit spirituellen Themen eines Klienten kommen. Um die Tragweite oder Tiefe zu ermessen, kann es zu einem Informationsbedarf kommen. Für die Tanztherapie braucht es für dieses Gebiet eine Auseinandersetzung mit einer Theorie, welche sich auf wissenschaftliche Quellen bezieht. Allein die Begriffsdefinition, was Spiritualität bedeutet, kann für viele Menschen ein schwieriges Unterfangen sein. Dass der Tanz in frühester Zeit spirituell war, und die Tanztherapie auch aus diesem Medium entstanden ist, stellt sich die Frage, ob Spiritualität auch ein Teil (wenn auch ein unbewusster) der Tanztherapie ist und ob dies getrennt werden kann.

This book presents principles and methods for working with emotion in psychotherapy to address the core maladaptive processes that cause anxiety, depression, and other common mental health disorders.
