Christophe Sirkis rend hommage à son frère Stéphane. Une silhouette floue dans les contours d’une guitare. Ce n’est plus un enfant, pas encore un adolescent. Il marche regard baissé, dos à la mer, il rumine peut-être une punition, ou autre chose, il sera bientôt rebelle. Quantité de citations rappellent que nous sommes, adultes, ce que l’enfance a fait de nous. Le mustang est ce cheval sauvage magnifique quand il court dans les plaines, on ne peut l’arrêter, difficile de le dompter. La Mustang est cette voiture mythique que Steeve Mac Queen conduit dans Bullit. Une fois l’engin dompté, on a du mal à s’arrêter. La Mustang, c’est aussi une petite guitare pas chère, la moins chère des vraies guitares électriques. « On aurait presque pu en acheter une si on avait économisé longtemps ». C’est une guitare sauvage, pleine de difficultés mais aussi de qualités qu’aucun autre instrument ne recelle, pour peu qu’on l’apprivoise. C’était la guitare de l’Aventurier, jouée par Dominique. Et aussi celle de Stéphane Sirkis… Star, l’étoile rouge à 5 branches, c’est celle de ses convictions sociales et humanitaires. Starmustang dévoile le témoignage de Christophe Sirkis, le frère de Stéphane et Nicolas, un complément obligatoire pour que chacun puisse comprendre la véritable histoire des trois frères. celle qui n’a jamais encore été racontée. Un hommage très particulier, précise Christophe, car il fallait aussi rendre justice à la mémoire de Stéphane Sirkis, décédé le 27 février 1999. Pour la première fois révélé, le texte intégral et non censuré de cette histoire qui dérange mais qu'il faut assumer. J'ai reconstitué le manuscrit original tel que je voulais qu'il soit publié en février 2009 pour les 10 ans de la disparition de Stéphane. Starmustang 2013 contient des photographies inédites issues de mes archives et de documents qui ont été miraculeusement sauvés de la destruction. Il est également complété par des témoignages vidéo issus des dizaines d'heures d'entretiens qui ont pu être enregistrés et qui sont régulièrement complétés par des mises à jour.
