This is the story of a boy born in a two-room terrace flat who had quite a normal life but struggled with his own weaknesses until he finally got married, had children, and started traveling. He has written down his experiences as a child in the 1940s, as a teenager in the fifties, and as a young man in the sixties and then wrote about his experiences while traveling the world during his working life, which, when read, suggests he did not have such a normal life after all.

Inspired by her mother’s numerous tales of growing up in Nebraska during the Depression, and as her life as a young bride and as a nurse, Mary Jane began compiling these anecdotes years ago when she began to realize their significance to her family’s history. With the birth of nieces and nephews and the death of her beloved mother came the realization that life does not last forever and the imperative to preserve these family treasures became even greater. With generous and enthusiastic contributions of photos, facts, details and insights, family members enhanced these stories and provided depth and luster to this glimpse into an American family descended from immigrants. Although it is typical in many ways, this family is unique – as perhaps all families are unique – and the author’s gratitude to her parents, her sister and each of her relatives is boundless.

About the Book I Testify Life Is Forever is a collection of works from one Black man’s experience growing up in the Deep South of Alabama. A powerful look into the Deep South Black community and racial tensions, Curtis Malcolm Monroe Sr.’s prose and verse provide a raw, real perspective on the state of America and the lack of liberty and justice for all. About the Author Curtis Malcolm Monroe Sr. was born in Tuskegee, Alabama, in 1951. He spent much of his youth living in an old shanty house with his single mother and five siblings. When she received enough money, his mother moved their family to a new town, and Monroe went on to graduate from Carver High School, class of 1970, the last class of all Black students. He and his brother went on to join the USAS during the Vietnam War. After the military, Monrow was married and had two sons. After his divorce, he went back to school. Now retired, he spends most of his time writing poems, short stories, and creating art.

Dreadful nightmares and panic attacks were the birth pangs of the author's book... She had survived the third and almost successful attempt on her life by her husband, so in a sudden rush of courage brought on by the knowledge that if she did not leave immediately he would definitely kill her she fled him in Sri Lanka to arrive in San Francisco in the clothes she stood up in a few dollars in her pocket and very near to complete nervous collapse. She made her way to Santa Cruz where the owner of a small B&B rescued her with long walks and lots of good advice but three years later the excruciating nightmares and panic attacks still persisted so she took her friends advice to put it all down on paper...in other words... " externalize it m'dear and then it will become just another bad dream." Ignoring the pun she did just that but when she put pen to paper there was the clear voice of a little girl in her mind who wanted to take her to a special time and place if she wanted to confront her worst fears...

African Women Writing Resistance is the first transnational anthology to focus on women’s strategies of resistance to the challenges they face in Africa today. The anthology brings together personal narratives, testimony, interviews, short stories, poetry, performance scripts, folktales, and lyrics. Thematically organized, it presents women’s writing on such issues as intertribal and interethnic conflicts, the degradation of the environment, polygamy, domestic abuse, the controversial traditional practice of female genital cutting, Sharia law, intergenerational tensions, and emigration and exile. Contributors include internationally recognized authors and activists such as Wangari Maathai and Nawal El Saadawi, as well as a host of vibrant new voices from all over the African continent and from the African diaspora. Interdisciplinary in scope, this collection provides an excellent introduction to contemporary African women’s literature and highlights social issues that are particular to Africa but are also of worldwide concern. Let me tell you why I Love Jesus is a book like no other. It is about two friends who met on their life's journey holding on to a similar hope in their hearts. Rekindling their friendship after many years of silence, they begin to realize through the conversations that they had something in common""a genuine love for God! Who could imagine losing loved ones, having strange supernatural experiences, and going into battle with depression would cause someone to fall so deeply in love with a higher power. They both feel so blessed to be able to share their triumphant stories with the world. If it had been for the Lord on their side, where would they be? You can only find out if you read the testimony. Truly, we are overcomers by one another's testimonies, and these two women have overcome so many obstacles in their life. In this book, they give all glory, honor, and praise to the Lord Jesus for bringing them through the worst times in their lives. Also, these women celebrate some of the beautiful gifts they believe came straight from the heart of the Father. Faith and favor can open doors no man can shut if you only believe. Anyone who reads this book will be encouraged and hopefully begin to count their many blessings.

Spiritual drama hides in English history as Lilith, after being blasted into space, finds herself as a newborn baby of an aristocrat in the seventeenth-century English. As she matures, with her past still concealed, she vows to help the penurious, which leads her to invite four new near-starving soon-to-be blood sisters. Fejr claims to be sent from Anns Empire in another reality. Ann instantaneously bonds with these four poverty-stricken girls. Anns father receives official countess documents for these girls from the Danish kings brother. They shockingly discover that one of the destitute girls is truly the French princess, hidden by her royal parents for her protection. While at a special dinner on her behalf, Countess Henrietta Maria is raided by a vagabond that begs for some food. The English prepared to beat and cast him away; however, she postulates that this destitute vagabond be given her food. Upon exiting the restaurant, a disguised Charles I vows to marry Henrietta. The French gave their long-lost princess, now both loved and hated, to become Queen Henrietta Maria of England. They venture through Buckingham Palace as Queen Maria shares and keep her sisterhood vows. The sisters must first develop their social skills and survive like Puritans, which forces the family to the colonies. The sisters vow to serve Lilith (Ann) as they endure hidden worlds, horror, slavery, beatings, and find a road that leads them through many escapades, causing them to leap through the horrors and blood of time, going deep in the earth and through the ages of time. Ann departs and meets Drusilla as they struggle as Roman slaves. She agonizes through starvation, rapes, beatings, yet wins her divine tribulations. She then leads her sisters back to her lost empire, yet surreptitiously things have altered.
