Dies brachte eine neue F hrungselite hervor und st rkte in der Bewegung die Str mung um Ismail Haniyyeh, der f r politische Partizipation eintrat" (Asseburg 2008: 85). Im folgenden Abschnitt (4.1) soll verdeutlicht werden, wie es zur Etablierung der neuen F hrungselite gekommen ist. Dabei wird aufgezeigt, dass neben den genannten noch weitere einflussreiche Kader "liquidiert" wurden. (4.2) Anschlie end wird anhand des Wahlprogramms von 2005/2006 und diverser Aussagen von heute f hrenden Hamas-Politikern er rtert, wie die dogmatischen Positionen der Hamas seit 2004 relativiert worden sind. An die Stelle rigider islamistischer Positionen sind vielfach (wenngleich nicht konsequent) flexiblere Haltungen und realistischere Ziele getreten. Einige Erkl rungsans tze f r die weitgehende Abkehr der Hamas von ihrer urspr nglichen Ideologie, mit der ein Wandel ihrer Ziele und Interessen einhergeht, werden im abschlie enden Fazit geliefert.

Studienarbeit aus dem Jahr 2013 im Fachbereich Politik - Region: Naher Osten, Vorderer Orient, Note: 2,0, Georg-August-Universität Göttingen, Veranstaltung: Vertiefung Internationale Beziehungen, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Die „erste Gruppe des politischen Islam“ betrifft mit der palästinensischen Opposition der Hamas eine Bewegung, die eine beachtliche Transformation hinter sich hat. Zwischen ihrer Gründung 1987 und der 2006 demokratisch legitimierten Machtübernahme in Palästina liegen gerade mal 19 Jahre. Die Hamas kämpfte in den israelisch besetzten Gebieten jahrelang für die Errichtung eines islamischen Staates und weigerte sich vehement gegen die friedliche Verständigung mit Israel. Die Hamas kristallisierte sich in den Jahren ihrer Aktivitäten als direkte Opposition gegen die PLO und der Fatah-Bewegung heraus. Immer wieder geriet sie dabei ins Kreuzfeuer des kritischen öffentlichen Diskurs, da die Hamas mittels Selbstmordanschlägen in den 1990er Jahren versuchte gegen die israelischen Besatzungskräfte vorzugehen und erntete öfters den Begriff einer terroristischen Organisation (vgl. Baumgarten 2006 : 7). Ein größerer Teil der Ausführungen dieser Arbeit wird sich im ersten Teil auf die Politikkonzeptionen und die Entwicklungen der Muslimbruderschaft außerhalb Ägyptens beziehen, da die Muslimbruderschaft als Mutterorganisation der Hamas angesehen werden kann, ebenso wie der Gründer der Bruderschaft al-Banna ein ernstzunehmender Akteur im politischen Diskurs darstellt. Im Rahmen dieser Arbeit kann nicht auf die Radikalisierung des politischen Islam und den Äußerungen Sayyid Qutb's eingegangen werden, da dies den Rahmen dieser Arbeit überschreiten würde. Der zeitliche Rahmen der Arbeit beschränkt sich von der Gründung der Muslimbruderschaft 1928 bis kurz nach den Osloer-Friedensverhandlungen 1994. Ich möchte mittels einer konstruktivistischen Analyse nach Alexander Wendt der Fragestellung nachgehen, inwieweit der Strukturwechsel der Hamas von einer ideologisch eingespannten Bewegung zu einer politischen Organisation zu erklären ist und welche Akteure dabei eine Rolle gespielt haben. Dabei wird sich der öffentliche palästinensische Diskurs als einer der Initiatoren für den Strategiewechsel der palästinensischen Widerstandsbewegung herausstellen.
