Bahwa berdasarkan UU Intelijen Negara diberikan kewenangan bagi Kejaksaan Republik Indonesia untuk menyelenggarakan fungsi Intelijen pada bidang penegakan hukum. Pelaksanaan fungsi Intelijen pada Kejaksaan Republik Indonesia dilaksanakan oleh satuan kerja Jaksa Agung Muda Inteljen yang merupakan unsur pembantu pimpinan dalam melaksanakan tugas dan wewenang kejaksaan dalam bidang intelijen kejaksaan.
