„Tema abordată, relația dintre organizarea spațiului geografic și resursele geomorfice, este una de mare actualitate și importanță practică. Arealul ales în acest scop este unul care se pretează perfect unui astfel de exercițiu. Este un spațiu cu mare diversitate a factorilor naturali, unde dinamica geomorfologică este una foarte activă. Acest fond natural fragil este unul de veche și continuă locuire, cu areale intens influențate și modificate antropic, care oferă cercetătorului o gamă variată de probleme foarte atractive pentru cunoașterea adâncită a teritoriului și valorificarea sustenabilă a acestuia. Astfel de medii fragile, care au o mare senzitivitate, resimt mai intens schimbările înregistrate la nivelul coordonatelor peisajului și răspund cu o mai mare magnitudine modificărilor, așadar necesită o atenție deosebită, o organizare atentă.ˮ (conf. univ. dr.
