What's in it for Me & Why is it Important? The most important statement made within the pages of this book is that we must know the history of America and the past to move forward and improve as a country, Every country has a history filled with good and bad, but trying to erase that history leaves uninvolved and uninformed people. Though Watters takes a somewhat sarcastic approach to share his information and puffs himself up as an authority, which in some ways he is, the book has an important message. The book is funny, informative, and insightful, with a touch of self-aggrandizement to add to the storyline. You'll Soon Discover... ◆ Politics help drive the news cycle, and the news cycle can drive politics. ◆ There will always be bias in the news and media, but bias is more about what is omitted than shared. ◆ Jesse Watters got his first big break in the political news realm entirely by accident because Bill O'Reilly thought he was hiring an intern. ◆ The youth and young adults in America are highly uninformed when it comes to history and politics. ◆ Jesse Watters may not have actually saved the world, but he has altered his world and that of others. How I Saved the World - SUMMARY And ANALYSIS DISCLAIMER THIS SHORT AND VALUABLE PUBLICATION IS AN INDEPENDENT WORK OF Michael Rowley. ABOUT THE ORIGINAL BOOK In How I Saved the World, Jesse Watters takes readers on a tour of his life from basement-dwelling Fox minion to pampered champion of right-thinking Americans. He has divined great truths about the nature of our country while stumbling across beaches asking oblivious college students basic political questions and while stumbling out of Air Force One with the President. Interspersed are his thoughtful suggestions for overcoming left-wing radicalism, maintaining American democracy, moving beyond aging hippies (like his long-suffering, loving parents), saving the world from social justice warriors and the deep state--all while smirking his way through life in only the nicest way. Watters outlines the stark choice ahead of us between all-American hamburgers and leftist Green New Deal breadlines (okay, maybe that one is a no-brainer) and shows the way for order and fairness to be restored. "For astonishing amounts of us, forays into nature are amazing slowdowns from our ordinary lives. However, for the creatures who call these wild places home, it's their lifestyle. It's their only lifestyle. It's so easy to miss how our exercises can hurt the universe of another," she says. "For example, in the event that you find a stone and drop it back down indifferently, you might be picking a reptile's shade, or a plant’s cool, clammy shady spot, or reducing a neighborhood’s soil microorganisms that have lived there for a long time, making the air breathable for us. "Remember, we're guests in nature, and no one loves a visitor who leaves garbage lying around. Controlling Women written by Kathryn Kolbert and has been published by Hachette UK this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2021-07-13 with Social Science categories.

From two lawyers at the forefront of the reproductive rights movement, this fully updated book shares bold strategies meant to help restore and expand reproductive and sexual rights. Reproductive freedom has never been in more dire straits. Roe v. Wade protected abortion rights and Planned Parenthood v. Casey unexpectedly preserved them. Yet in the following decades these rights have been gutted by restrictive state legislation, the appointment of hundreds of anti-abortion judges, and violence against abortion providers. Today, the ultra-conservative majority at the Supreme Court has overturned our most fundamental reproductive protections. With Roe toppled, abortion is now a criminal offense in nearly one-third of the United States. At least six states have enacted bans on abortion as early as six weeks of pregnancy—before many women are even aware they are pregnant. Today, 89% of U.S. counties do not have a single abortion provider, in part due to escalating violence and intimidation aimed at disrupting services. We should all be free to make these personal and private decisions that affect our lives and wellbeing without government interference or bias, but we can no longer depend on Roe v. Wade and the federal courts to preserve our liberties. Legal titans Kathryn Kolbert and Julie F. Kay share the story of one of the most divisive issues in American politics through behind-the-scenes personal narratives of stunning losses, hard-earned victories, and moving accounts of women and health care providers at the heart of nearly five decades of legal battles. Kolbert and Kay propose audacious new strategies inspired by medical advances, state-level protections, human rights models, and activists across the globe whose courage and determination are making a difference. No more banging our heads against the Court’s marble walls. It is time for a new direction.

The Bible Of Unspeakable Truths written by Greg Gutfeld and has been published by Hachette UK this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2010-05-25 with Humor categories.

Greg Gutfeld, the acclaimed host of the popular, nightly Fox News show Red Eye, has packed this book full of his most aggressive (and funny) diatribes -- each chapter exploring Unspeakable Truths that cut right to the core and go well beyond just politics. Greg deconstructs pop culture, media, kids, disease, race, food, sex, celebrity, current events, and nearly every other aspect of life, with Truths including but not limited to: "if you're over 25 and still use party as a verb, then you're beyond redemption," "the media wanted bird flu to kill thousands," "attractive people don't write for a living," "death row inmates make the best husbands," and "the urge to punch Zach Braff in the face is completely natural." With an irreverent voice, incredible wit, and a firm take on just about everything, this is a manual for how to think about stuff, by a guy who has thought about precisely that same stuff. And, even if you disagree with Greg, this book will make you laugh--guaranteed.

INSTANT NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER From the host of Tucker Carlson Tonight on Fox News and the New York Times bestselling author of Ship of Fools, a collection of nostalgic writings that underscore America’s long slide from innocence to orthodoxy. Thirty years ago, Tucker Carlson got his first job out of college fact checking for a quarterly magazine, and he went on to write for many other publications before becoming the primetime Fox News host he is today. In The Long Slide, Tucker delivers a few of his favorite pieces—annotated with new commentary and insight—to memorialize the tolerance and diversity of thought that the media used to celebrate instead of punish. In snapshots spanning the 1990s to today, he’ll take you on a visit to Africa with Al Sharpton and members of the Nation of Islam to stop the civil war in Liberia in 2003, inside the (not-so-) secret armies of Operation Iraqi Freedom, and on the campaign trail with Donald Trump in 2016. In case you missed it the first time around, you’ll also learn about the aesthetic merits of British colonialism, the second shift at a baked bean factory, the unexpected charm of James Carville, and the simple beauty of rural western Maine. With his signature wit and 20/20 hindsight, Tucker investigates in this patriotic and memorable collection a question on all of our minds: Has America really changed that much in recent decades? The answer is, unequivocally, yes.

Disrupting The Digital Humanities written by Dorothy Kim and has been published by punctum books this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2018 with Technology & Engineering categories.

All too often, defining a discipline becomes more an exercise of exclusion than inclusion. Disrupting the Digital Humanities seeks to rethink how we map disciplinary terrain by directly confronting the gatekeeping impulse of many other so-called field-defining collections. What is most beautiful about the work of the Digital Humanities is exactly the fact that it can't be tidily anthologized. In fact, the desire to neatly define the Digital Humanities (to filter the DH-y from the DH) is a way of excluding the radically diverse work that actually constitutes the field. This collection, then, works to push and prod at the edges of the Digital Humanities - to open the Digital Humanities rather than close it down. Ultimately, it's exactly the fringes, the outliers, that make the Digital Humanities both lovely and rigorous. This collection does not constitute yet another reservoir for the new Digital Humanities canon. Rather, our aim is less about assembling content as it is about creating new conversations. Building a truly communal space for the digital humanities requires that we all approach that space with a commitment to: 1) creating open and non-hierarchical dialogues; 2) championing non-traditional work that might not otherwise be recognized through conventional scholarly channels; 3) amplifying marginalized voices; 4) advocating for students and learners; and 5) sharing generously to support the work of our peers.
