Batı etkisindeki Türk tiyatrosuna eğilerek, sırasıyla, Tanzimat, Meşrutiyet ve Cumhuriyet dönemlerinde sergilenen oyunları, erkek ve kadın sanatçıları, tiyatro mekânlarını, oyunlarda kullanılan dili, tiyatroyla ilgili yasaları ve genel olarak halkın ve yöneticilerin tiyatroya bakışlarını araştırıp yorumluyor.
