Tango dance is one the most famous partner dances that emphasizes the vibrant and playful style of movement, rich expressions, improvisation and requires close connection and passion between dancers. It is currently practiced by millions of people from all around the world, who have learned to love not only a traditional tango style which was popularized in the late 19th and early 20th century but also many of its other modern tango dance variations created in Argentina and many other countries. The result of this cooperative process can be a highly improvisational dance that fully captivates the attention of both the dancers and spectators. This book presents a concise, definite plan for women to help you make incredible progress in Tango. It shows you how to use your Mindset within to access a deeper Tango partner connection that is anxious and willing to serve you if you know how to use it.

Two women sit in the dressing room of a cheap "tango bar" somewhere in Toronto, preparing for their performance. Emperatriz came from Argentina 10 years ago, and has had most of her dreams stifled, while Rubidia, an emigrant of less than 5 years, still has hopes of an acting career. Each dreams of a different life and a home where they may be secure, though each has a very different image of what a "home" may be. The homes they came from were dark and troubled so that they know they can never go back. The play covers one critical day in their life when they are forced to make decisions that will affect the rest of their lives.

My Life in the Milonga: is a true story of passion, self-discovery and human connection What awaits you in the next chapter of your life? Is there a sense something is missing? Passion? Adventure? A sense of direction? I spent the first twenty of years of my life with a narcissistic mother and the next twenty with a narcissistic husband. Life in the Milonga is how I discovered a part of myself and a sense of self-esteem that had been missing for a long time. Something, I think many of us have missed or even forgotten about in this age of technology, the ability to connect on a conscious human level. I was unaware these things were missing, or that they were of any particular importance to me. Until I discovered the world of Argentine tango. This is my story into the subculture of Argentine Tango. It was a journey of self-discovery that brought joy and passion back into my life. My nights in the milongas of Buenos Aires were filled with passion, humor and playful flirting. Honest tango is danced with an open heart. Learning to trust and share of piece of myself with the men I dance with, is an ongoing journey. Technically tango is a difficult dance to learn and it is even harder to learn if you want to dance it well. I have enjoyed that challenge. I know that my dancing will improve with time and practice. But it's this road of self-discovery that tango requires, that I look forward to the most. I hope it will never end. The world of tango is so different from anything I have experienced in my past. It has allowed me to live my childhood dream of traveling and becoming more involved with other cultures around the world. It has allowed me to become me. I feel at home with the people in the tango world. There has not been a night since I started dancing tango, when tango has not reminded me of the importance of living life in the present and of the desire for human connection in all of us. Human connection is the essence of tango.

From Greek drama through vaudeville and modern cinema, nothing in the theatrical experience has ever guaranteed a laugh like a man in a dress. This spectacular pictorial history examines the grand tradition of male cross-dressing in the movies through more than 700 photos, more than half of which are previously unpublished. The screen's greatest stars, from comedians like Buster Keaton and Peter Sellers to "serious" actors like Marlon Brando and Max von Sydow, are pictured in everything from bustiers to ball gowns. Just as in real life, the cinematic motives for cross-dressing are complex, ranging from plot device (I Was a Male War Bride) and social commentary (Tootsie) to the simple sight gags of Laurel and Hardy. The book explores these and myriad other reasons actors are coaxed out of dress suits and into dresses. By turns provocative, serious, and silly, Ladies or Gentlemen is a delightful study of a seldom-explored facet of cinema history.
