Gemeint ist aber nicht der oberflächliche Spaß, sondern das ganzheitliche nachhaltige Vergnügen; die von innen, aus dem Herzen kommende Freude als Ergebnis des persönlichen Einsatzes, der tänzerischen Leistung, die motivierend wirkt. Ein solches Vergnügen beruht auf sozialer Sensibilität und ist aus der Stille geboren, aus dem inneren Lauschen und Erleben. Die Ursache des Tanzes sind Empfindungen. Das Handwerkszeug sind die Bewegungen und das Material für den Tanz ist der Körper selbst. Wo immer sich ein Körper bewegt oder steht, ist er von Raum umgeben. Der Raum ist der eigentlich Wirkungsbereich des Tanzenden, denn er vermag die Grenzen der Körperlichkeit aufzuheben. Das Erlernen von Tanz in unserer heutigen Zeit spielt sich nicht mehr in der Alltagswelt der Tanzenden ab, sondern in für den Tanz bereitgestellten „Räumen“, wie dem Erfahrungs-, Gestaltungs- und Lernraum. Tanz als sinnlicher Erfahrungsraum Gemeint ist das Wahrnehmen und Erleben mit allen Sinnen. Wir brauchen eine neue Vermittlungskultur und –pädagogik der Sinnlichkeit. Hierfür mag das Tanzen als uralte Muttersprache zwischen den Menschen als Modell dienen. Es geht um eine Erneuerung des elementaren, spontanen, sinnlichen Tanzens, um eine Alltagskultur des Tanzens, die von der künstlerisch-ästhetischen Ebene zur menschlichen Erfahrungs- und Erlebnisebene führt. Kinder können sich über das Tanzen ganz natürlich mitteilen mit all ihren Erfahrungen, Gefühlen und Wahrnehmungen und lernen dabei die Welt zu verstehen. Tanz als kognitiver Lernraum Gemeint sind: Tanzkurse jeder Art mit lebendiger Atmosphäre. Lektionen ohne Blick auf die Uhr. Lernorte als Werkstätten. Methoden, die Kreativität und Kommunikation fördern. Musik, die alle Sinnesorgane anspricht und koordinative Fähigkeiten, die geschult werden - Kinder lernen auf vielfältige Weise mit einer Didaktik, die das aktive Mitmachen ermöglicht. Tanz als kreativer Gestaltungsraum Immer wenn man Kindern zusieht, die sich völlig im Einklang mit sich selbst bewegen, die voller Freude loshüpfen oder vor Glück springen, erscheint dieser kindliche Bewegungsdrang in einem neuen Licht. Sollten wir mehr aus uns heraus spontan, unwiderstehlich und überaus lustvoll nicht auch ab und an einfach mal lostanzen? Warum nicht? Tanzen macht Spaß, denn es ermöglicht immer wieder, selbstbestimmt und eigenständig neue Bewegungsformen zu erforschen.

Der Tanz gehört zum Leben der Menschen. Er ist neben der Musik eine der ursprünglichsten künstlerischen Lebensäußerungen. Wenn Menschen den Begriff Tanz hören, erreichen sie Bilder, die vom Kinderreigen zum Seniorentanz, von der Spitzentänzerin zum barfüßigen Afro-Tänzer, vom Gesellschaftstanz bis zum Technotanz der Loveparade reichen. Die jeweiligen Assoziationen entstehen dabei immer in Abhängigkeit von den individuellen und soziokulturellen Kontakten mit Tanz. Meist sind sie auch mit einer emotionalen Gestimmtheit dem Tanzen gegenüber verbunden. Ziel der vorliegenden Arbeit ist es daher, Tanz als Lehr- und Lerngehalt in seinen Möglichkeiten und Grenzen für Erziehung und Bildung abzustecken und eine begrenzte thematische Auseinandersetzung mit den erlebnispädagogischen Möglichkeiten im Tanzen mit Kindern und Jugendlichen vorzulegen. Nach einem theoretischen Abriss und einer Vorstellung ausgesuchter, grundlegender Bildungsinhalte der Tanzpädagogik in den ersten Kapiteln folgen praxisorientierte Beispiele, die konkret und ergebnissicher aufzeigen, welche hohe praktische Relevanz das Thema in sich birgt und in wie weit Tanzlehrer und Tanzpädagogen bei Heranwachsenden die Funktionen des Tanzens individuell aktualisieren sollten, so dass sie trotzdem fachgerecht und erzieherisch wirken.

Sie spielt sowohl für die Entwicklung des Körpergefühls und der Körperakzeptanz, als auch für die Identitätsentwicklung eine bedeutsame Rolle. Auch in sozialer und gesundheitlicher Hinsicht kann das tanzpädagogische Arbeiten durchaus positiv wirken.
