Richard Allen Anderson has been counted as a member of the human race for eighty-seven years. Richard developed a love of literature during his primary education in the Milwaukee, Wisconsin public school system. Authors like Hawthorne, O'Henry, Dickens, Poe, Shakespeare and Sophocles were among his first tutors. Yet, his graduate and post-graduate studies at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and Penn State majored in math and science, enabling a working career of over 30 years in industrial research and development. Following retirement he took up writing fiction, nonfiction and poetry for his own amusement, winning prizes in each. He has had three volumes of poetry and one illustrated children's book published to date. These short stories are his first published collection of fiction. In it you will find tales of life and death, love and hate, gods and demons, desperation and hope, justice and vengeance, mystery, history, humor and adventure-imaginative fabrications, Taradiddle and Cookie Crumbs.

Held captive on the worst prison ship in the galaxy, the Last Star Warden must find a way to escape before Quantum is killed!Herein are five daring tales full of thrills and uncertainty from Jason J. McCuiston, author of the intriguing alternate history novel PROJECT NOTEBOOK. He gives us a fantastic new look at classic sci-fi pulp - the same themes are there, but with modern sensibilities thrown in, complete with his own illustrations. So if you're looking for stories reminiscent of the days when heroes of all kinds stood for justice and the common good, you'll love the adventures of the Last Star Warden!"The Last Star Warden is exactly what it looks like: a rollicking collection of space western stories. McCuiston delivers big with plenty of imagination and thrills. He pays homage to a western classic formula while injecting enough delightful alien weirdness to justify the intergalactic setting. The Warden and Quantum are unashamedly heroic heroes doing what's right in an unforgiving universe. Highly recommended." Bryce Beattie, Editor of StoryHack Action & Adventure and author of Swordcrossed Frostbite"...the Last Star Warden meets all with steely grace and nobility - and a rare and refreshing level of pure, pulpy fun. Jason McCuiston's excellent book of adventures reads like a time warp back to boyhood Saturdays when classic Science Fiction played all afternoon on UHF. A fantastic experience!" Gregory L. Norris, Author of the Gerry Anderson's Into Infinity novels by Anderson Entertainment

All That Swagger has been acclaimed by pundits as one of the best Australian books yet composed. The story develops from the center outwards from one who feels the enchantment of Australia. The characters are established in the dirt, the woodland, as the early pioneers were. One subject anxieties character - that backbone of direction, hardihood boldness, honesty, which should perpetually be the establishment of any stable and moral State or condition of society. It introduces the courageous independence with which the extraordinary Australian landmass has been investigated, studied, fenced, cleared, furrowed, and is presently monitored by a virile people. Here is an immense canvas, State-wide, and as long as history itself - to the extent that it contains the depiction of life and improvement in this station of the British Empire. Aptitude and condition have productively consolidated in the generation. The author moves living pieces on the squares of a mammoth chessboard, and she plays the game such that shows obviously that she comprehends the gambit of life and every one of its varieties. All That Swagger is all Australian in each word. Just an Australian could have composed it.

Visit us online at www.1stWorldLibrary.ORG - ONE of my wishes is that those dark trees, So old and firm they scarcely show the breeze, Were not, as 'twere, the merest mask of gloom, But stretched away unto the edge of doom. I should not be withheld but that some day Into their vastness I should steal away, Fearless of ever finding open land, Or highway where the slow wheel ours the sand. I do not see why I should e'er turn back, Or those should not set forth upon my track To overtake me, who should miss me here And long to know if still I held them dear. They would not find me changed from him they knew-Only more sure of all I thought was true.

Bespoke written by Richard Anderson and has been published by Simon and Schuster this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2009-10-29 with Biography & Autobiography categories.

This is the true-life story of a boy who quit school to become an apprentice on Savile Row, home to London's most venerable tailors, and wound up owning his own shop on the world-famous 'Golden Mile', where he hand-cuts exquisite suits for a clientele including royalty, politicians, literati, business tycoons, and media stars. On a bright, bitterly cold and snowy morning in January 1982, 17-year-old Richard Anderson made his way with his father to an interview at Savile Row's illustrious Henry Huntsman & Sons. They were late, but Richard got the job, with its meagre salary of only £2,000 a year, and his life was changed forever. Huntsman was arguably the world's most prestigious tailoring house, and Richard's apprenticeship proved a humbling ordeal overseen by three titans of the trade: the formidably debonair Colin Hammick, fellow chain-smoker and grumpy eccentric Brian Hall, and Dick Lakey, the company's heroically overworked 'leg man'. Training under these men in the arcane art of making trousers and coats that could cost as much as £10,000 was an inspiring but also gruelling game, yet 'Young Richard' persisted for 17 more years of rigorous practice in perfectionism and prestige - to become, at 34, the youngest head cutter in Huntsman's 150-year history. Witty and told with great candour, Bespoke is a fascinating behind-the-scenes exposé of life on Savile Row from one of the world's most celebrated and successful tailors.
