Hal ini dibuktikan dengan banyaknya studio-studio tato di sekitar tempat-tempat pariwisata yang strategis. Selain dari pada Budaya asli Indonesia, tato juga masuk sebagai mata pencaharian yang sangat menjanjikan dalam pariwisata. Banyak pemberitaan yang menjelaskan bahwa tato di Bali menjadi incaran wisatawan-wisatawan asing yang berkunjung ke Bali. Sisi lainnya masih saja ada stigma negatif tentang tato, walau tato itu dapat memberikan penghasilan yang lumayan dalam usaha terkait pariwisata. Dalam beberapa kesempatan, seniman tato yang memiliki wilayah strategis dalam pasar pariwisata menyebutkan penggemar tato dari manca negara bahkan rela datang hanya untuk bertato. Mungkin hal ini perlu untuk di kaji lebih dalam, tentang fenomena yang menyelimuti tato dalam kaitan seni dan pariwisata di Bali

Seni tato saat ini sangat berkembang dalam perjalanannya, dari wujud atau bentuk dan pemaknaan. Tidak hanya sekedar peniruan dari tato yang sudah ada sebelumnya, tapi juga mengalami modifikasi dalam bentuk. Tidak dapat dipungkiri, tato dalam hal gaya visual banyak terpengaruh dari motif tradisional dan ini terfokus pada Tato Motif Rangda. Wujud Tato Motif Rangda sebenarnya dihindari oleh Masyarakat Bali, dikarenakan wujud tersebut secara nyata dihubungkan dengan nilai sakral. Namun dibalik fenomena yang ada, beberapa Orang Bali saat ini mengaplikasikan Tato Motif Rangda ke dalam tato mereka. Dari hanya sekedar sebagai hiasan pada tubuh sampai dengan memaknainya lebih dari sekedar motif belaka. Dengan mendeskripsikan secara kualitatif, Tato Motif Rangda dari pemakainya memang sangat beragam. Hasil pengamatan beragam motif dari pemakai tato dapat disimpulkan bahwa, tato dengan Motif Rangda merupakan sarana komunikasi menjunjung budaya lokal yaitu Budaya Bali. Atas dasar motivasi yang ada, hal ini akan mengungkap lebih dalam tentang Tato Rangda pada Orang Bali dari sudut pandang motivasi dalam berkesenian.
