Il Nabucco è stata l'opera che ha chiuso la stagione per noi invernale, e non di carnevale, e sem pre con crescente incontro, avendo gli artisti tutt: eseguito col mas simo impegno le parti loro afidate, cogli applausi che gli erano do vuti. Desmnvere il furore che ha destato la bravissima Arrzgotti troppo vi vorrebbe; soltanto diremo che dessa ha aggiunto all'opera in corso, nelle ultime sere, la cavatina nel Barbiere di Siviglia e un duetto nell' istessa opera cantato col baritono Parrano, che per il pubblico è stato un regalo veramente magnifico ed aggredito in mo do stra°rdinauioz vada pure superba l'anigotti di sè stessa, che ne ha ragione, petche come ha cantato a Bologna nel Nabucco, e come ha eseguito la sempre bellissima musica (ll Rossini, essa ha tutto il diritto di essere collocata in un posto eminente nell'arte che professa; la voce di questa artista è bella, toccante, flessnbnle, intonata, e canta con una agilità che sorprende; in una parola, è padrona di fare Ciò che vuole, che tutto le riesce a meraviglia. Oh come la sentirei volentieri nella Lucia, 0 nel Trovatore;deve essere un por tento! Gli applausi sono stati immensi ed unanimi, massime nelle repliche che Ogni sera ha dovuto eseguire. Ferrario le è stato un valente compagno, sia nel Nabucco, che nel duo del Barbiere, a vendo ricevuto dal pubblico i ben dovuti applausi ed unanimi. Questo teatro è stato foxlu: nat0 nell' ultimo della stagione e per poche sere soltanto; fosse stato così nel principio, che in allora l'avremmo ve duto primeggiare sugli altri che si trovavano aperti nella stagione che non è più. Il tenore Enrico Biondini e ritornato in Bologna reduce da Pordenone ove si e distinto moltissimo nelle opere che vennero rappresentante, e n' ebbe encomio ed applausi; questo artista e disponibile per le venienti stagioni. La Bosio a Londra riporto un luminoso successo nel Bigoletto sotto le spoglie di Gilda. La Manetta Mollo prima donna e scritturata al teatro di Spoleto, carnevale al 1857 al 58. Sopra i versi, parte buoni, e parte cattivi del signor Guidi, si mise in testa il maestro Pacini di comporre una musica che fosse tutta buona;e con questo intendimento cominciava a ribellarsi ai soliti tuoni e lampi dell1 orchestra, per consolarci col cauto da molti anni tiranneggiato dalla prepotenza dei tromboni, dei serpentonis dei bombardoni, che nei musicali dominii fecero uffizio sin qui degli Ezzelini, dei Borgia, degli Scaligeri, serpentoni e bombardoni del genio italiano. Nel secolo X un inglese per nome Bedcham compose un trattato sull' ottica, nel qua le parla della luce riflessa dai vetri da una parte impiombati; ma della invenzione dei veri specchi moderni bisogna saperne grado dl l' Italia. Verso la fine del secolo XV in Murano fu composto il primo specchio di vetro col mercurio, metallo che tre qualita a que sto scopo si trova avere bianchezza fluidita, attitudine ad essere combinato con altri metalli. Evviva dunque il mercurio, a cui siam debitori di vedere la nostra faccia nella sua vera forma, nel suo proprio colore.
