Surgida a finales de los a os sesenta en Am rica Latina, la teolog a de la liberaci n interpreta las ense anzas cristianas en t rminos de la liberaci n de los pobres de las estructuras opresoras del sistema-mundo incorporando a su reflexi n los aportes del pensamiento marxista. La influencia de la teolog a de la liberaci n y de su opci n preferencial por los pobres se dej sentir muy pronto en otras esferas del pensamiento humano en Iberoam rica como la filosof a, la pedagog a y la psicolog a. Surge as un "pensamiento de la liberaci n," el cual abarca todos aquellos campos del pensamiento, incluida la teolog a, que hacen de la categor a fundamental de la liberaci n su base de reflexi n para llevar a cabo un an lisis cr tico de la realidad latinoamericana. La relaci n entre el pensamiento de la liberaci n y la literatura de Am rica Latina, sin embargo, ha sido muy poco estudiada. El presente estudio es el primero en problematizar el asunto con un original e innovador enfoque que reivindica el pensamiento de la liberaci n como corriente cr tico-te rica perteneciente a los llamados estudios postcoloniales y subalternos que nos permite aproximarnos a la narrativa iberoamericana construida en base a los discursos de opresi n y liberaci n, especialmente a aquellas obras que tratan la cuesti n amerindia. Los cuatro ensayos reunidos por el autor estudian la interacci n dial gica entre el pensamiento de la liberaci n y la novela hispanoamericana de tem tica ind gena. En cada uno de ellos se examina una novela desde la perspectiva de la teolog a y/o la filosof a de la liberaci n entendidas como marcos cr tico-te ricos decoloniales que no s lo nos ayudan a interpretar los textos sino tambi n a teorizar el surgimiento de una teolog a y filosof a de la liberaci n ind genas en los mismos. As pues, los ensayos que integran este libro muestran la importancia de considerar el pensamiento de la liberaci n una herramienta te rica decolonial que se articula desde un locus de enunciaci n subalterno y es capaz de establecer una relaci n dial gica con los textos estudiados, las culturas amerindias y otras teor as decoloniales, subalternas e incluso postestructuralistas y ecol gicas. S lo as puede ayudarnos el pensamiento de la liberaci n a problematizar y profundizar en la interpretaci n y teorizaci n de la novela de tem tica ind gena.
