El propósito del presente trabajo ha sido articular los procesos de investigación con el proceso educativo. De una parte, se busca aplicar nuevos saberes, producto de la investigación en torno al Diseño Industrial, en los procesos de enseñanza y de aprendizaje en el aula, y, de otra parte, se busca reducir posibles distancias entre quien quiere o necesita investigar y la investigación misma, entendida como una función propia del quehacer universitario. El presente trabajo registra la sistematización de tres experiencias de investigación, tres formas de acercarse al conocimiento desde el diseño, cuyos procesos confirman que la investigación en diseño se nutre de distintas fuentes, teorías y prácticas, y justamente de las distintas posturas en torno la investigación en diseño, lo que aporta a su constructo teórico y genera inquietudes, que pueden propiciar el avance del tema. La reconstrucción sistemática de las tres experiencias arroja una serie de aprendizajes que buscan responder ¿cómo desdibujar posibles imaginarios en torno a la investigación en diseño?. No se pretende desconocer la rigurosidad de la investigación en sentido estricto, solo visualizarla cotidiana y al alcance de quien reconoce una duda y se plantea una pregunta, y con ello confirmar que a partir de las respuestas a interrogantes tales como ¿qué información se requiere? ¿para qué se quiere dicha información? ¿cuál es el plan de resultados?, se estaría abordando un proceso de investigación propiamente, sin que esto implique teorizar sobre las categorías o los paradigmas de la investigación. Este estudio sería de utilidad para la comunidad de Diseño Industrial en general, puesto que proporciona elementos que permitirían abordar la investigación como una actividad sencilla e inherente a la condición humana, cuyos resultados pueden jalonar el avance del Diseño Industrial como disciplina proyectual, además de abrir oportunidades para quienes lleven a cabo procesos de investigación.
