Even witches and werewolves need to retire sometime—but they can still get involved in the occasional murder mystery… Grieving widower Harold McCaffrey moves into the Mountain Splendor Retirement Home and finds himself living in the Back Wing with a group of strange residents—aging witches, vampires, werewolves and shape-shifters… He bonds with his fellow denizens, especially Bella, who has promise of becoming more than just a friend. Things are looking up for Harold—until he and Bella must use all their normal and extra-normal skills to solve two murders in this very unique retirement community. From an author twice nominated for the Lefty Award for Humorous Mystery whose work has been called “delightful” (Maggie Sefton, New York Times-bestselling author” and “very, very funny” (Kirkus Reviews), this is a uniquely quirky paranormal mystery.

Myers and has been published by this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 1949 with Airplane categories.

This paper presents the results of the investigation of a wing-alone and wing-fuselage configuration employing a wing with the quarter-chord line swept back 45 degrees, with aspect ratio 4, taper ratio 0.3, and an NACA 65A006 airfoil section. Lift, drag, pitching moment, and root bending moment were obtained for these configurations. In addition, effective downwash angles and dynamic-pressure characteristics in the region of a probable tail location were also obtained for these configurations and are presented for a range of tail heights at one tail length. In order to expedite the publishing of these data, only a brief analysis is included.

Influence Of Large Amounts Of Wing Sweep On Stability And Control Problems Of Aircraft written by Hartley Akin Soule and has been published by this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 1946 with Airplanes categories.

The use of large amounts of sweep has been suggested in this country and in Germany as a means of avoiding some of the drag increase and stability and control difficulties encountered in high-speed flight with conventional straight-wing airplanes. Experience with sweep in tailless airplanes and studies made since this suggested has been made have indicated that the use of a large amount of sweep will, in itself, introduce stability and control problems of sufficient magnitude and complexity to require considerable research, particularly for flight at high angles of attack. The paper discusses these problems and, although no proved solutions are given, in some cases promising lines for further investigation are presented.

Tests Of A 45 Degree Swept Back Wing Model In The Langley Gust Tunnel written by Harold B. Pierce and has been published by this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 1948 with Airplanes categories.

A series of tests of a 45 degree swept-back wing model with and without fuselage and of an equivalent straight-wing model were conducted in the Langley gust tunnel to provide information on some of the problems encountered in the prediction of gust loads for airplanes incorporating swept wings. A comparison of test results with calculated results indicated that the maximum acceleration increment resulting from the penetration of a gust by a sweptback-wing airplane may be assumed to be dependent on the slope of the lift curve of the equivalent straight wing multiplied by the cosine of the angle of the sweep, rather than on the steady-flow slope of the lift curve.

Rolling And Yawing Moments For Swept Back Wings In Sideslip At Supersonic Sppeds written by Seymour Lampert and has been published by this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 1951 with Aerodynamics, Supersonic categories.

A method is presented for determining the rolling and yawing moments of swept-back wings in steady sideslip at supersonic speeds. The case treated in particular is that of a swept tapered wing with all edges subsonic.
