Now on the cusp of finding a place in the national team, Unmukt stands as a beacon for the future of Indian cricket. The action-packed true story of Australia's very own top gun pilot, Matt Hall. "I would sit there at the controls and think: I'm going to go left, and I can. I want to go right, and I will. I don't have to follow the road. I don't have to follow rules. I don't have to ask anyone - I can go left when I want, I can go right when I want. I had discovered the freedom that has kept me flying to this day." Since he was old enough to notice planes, Matt Hall wanted to be a pilot. Flying with his Dad in a glider, making models at home and meeting officers from the Air Force fuelled his ambition. So when he was accepted into the RAAF's grueling training school it seemed a dream come true. But dreams take hard work and focus - and the willingness to make your own luck. From the rigours of his first professional job as a top Gun fighter in the Battle of Baghdad where he experienced extreme fear and loss for the first time, to his post Air Force career as a professional racer where he has survived near fatal situations to become one of the most renowned pilots in the world, Matt Hall has led an extraordinary life. His story is a rare glimpse into a normally closed world where skill, quick thinking and a cool head can mean the difference between life and death. 'A must read for anyone interested in flying' COURIER MAIL

Space is a contested domain for its very nature and today it is evidently becoming an increasingly important enabler of economic and military power. An increasing number of actors, infrastructures and technologies deployed in space also raises concerns for safety and security, especially in cyberspace. Many countries are striving to achieve space capabilities and autonomous access to space, and this is having a tremendous geopolitical impact, especially since space is emerging as an increasingly critical military and strategic domain. The development of the new space economy, which is increasingly involving the private sector and many industrial actors and services, will also be a game changer for the international economy. The space race likewise implies disruptive technologies that could contribute massively to the energy and digital transitions, accelerating solutions that could benefit humanity. A new international governance system for space is therefore needed urgently, considering that the current rules are no longer able to respond to a sector evolving at such a rapid pace. Which actors are leading the race? Which economic sectors could benefit the most and what could the new space economy mean for the world? How is space emerging as a military domain against a backdrop of increasing international tensions? What would a new system of global governance for space look like?

What exactly is "breakthrough leadership"? Quite simply, it's an approach to performance aimed at transcending limitations and maximizing team potential. As the author points out, the process of innovation and high performance is not random or haphazard. The limitations and barriers that commonly get in the way of success can be overcome-if we use the right leadership techniques. And that's just what Dr. Bart Barthelemy, one of the nation's leaders in the fields of aeronautics and astronautics, discusses in The Sky Is Not the Limit-leadership techniques that work, and work consistently. Barthelemy has used his years of management experience to come up with a practical, results-driven guide to leadership based on the ideas of competitive collaboration and structured flexibility. Whether you're a manager, supervisor, team leader or consultant, The Sky Is Not the Limit can help you achieve significant breakthroughs in performance and productivity. The Sky Is NOT the Limit is a collection of adventures that have taken us around the world. Each chapter is an individual story and can be read independently. Perhaps when Joan and I are old and gray we will sit together and read and re-live all these memories. The stories take you to the four corners of the world, on all seven continents, and the major cities of the world. At last count the number was sixty countries and counting. I am not too sure who else would be interested - perhaps one day our grandchildren and then one day their grandchildren. Young people who would be curious to know something about their ancestors and what life was like at the close of the 20th century and the dawn of the 21 century. Oh well, who knows. But it sure was fun writing about these travels. And a whole lot more exciting creating these memories with my soul-mate.

From the author of Astrophysics for People in a Hurry and the host of Cosmos: A Spacetime Odyssey, a memoir about growing up and a young man's budding scientific curiosity. This is the absorbing story of Neil deGrasse Tyson’s lifelong fascination with the night sky, a restless wonder that began some thirty years ago on the roof of his Bronx apartment building and eventually led him to become the director of the Hayden Planetarium. A unique chronicle of a young man who at one time was both nerd and jock, Tyson’s memoir could well inspire other similarly curious youngsters to pursue their dreams. Like many athletic kids he played baseball, won medals in track and swimming, and was captain of his high school wrestling team. But at the same time he was setting up a telescope on winter nights, taking an advanced astronomy course at the Hayden Planetarium, and spending a summer vacation at an astronomy camp in the Mojave Desert. Eventually, his scientific curiosity prevailed, and he went on to graduate in physics from Harvard and to earn a Ph.D. in astrophysics from Columbia. There followed postdoctoral research at Princeton. In 1996, he became the director of the Hayden Planetarium, where some twenty-five years earlier he had been awed by the spectacular vista in the sky theater. Tyson pays tribute to the key teachers and mentors who recognized his precocious interests and abilities, and helped him succeed. He intersperses personal reminiscences with thoughts on scientific literacy, careful science vs. media hype, the possibility that a meteor could someday hit the Earth, dealing with society’s racial stereotypes, what science can and cannot say about the existence of God, and many other interesting insights about science, society, and the nature of the universe. Now available in paperback with a new preface and other additions, this engaging memoir will enlighten and inspire an appreciation of astronomy and the wonders of our universe.

One warm summer night, a group of monks were casually interacting while walking toward their place of worship. About half way on their journey, they came upon a gentleman, frantically and carefully searching the grounds under a street light, in an effort to recover something seemingly of significant importance. Caught up in their engaging conversation, the monks briefly glanced at him, but merrily continued along their way. Sometime later after their worship which lasted for about three hours, on their way home, the monks observed that the gentleman was still in the same general location searching but this time, with even more urgency, frustration and the meanest look of determination.
