Laws against idleness, gaming, drunkenness, excess in apparel, and on a variety of other subjects, were enacted. Orders for the planting of corn, mulberry, silk, flax, hemp, and aniseed, were established, and resolu tions on other matters were passed. On Sunday, August 1, 1619, the entry is only one line, Mr. Shelley, one of the Burgesses, deceased.
