The Breadth of a Tree is about an enduring search for spiritual freedom. First-time author I. Peaches Gillette courageously steps out into the world and allows herself to be seen through her profound and compassionate writing. This collection of poetry, letters, and transcriptions of dreams explores a wide range of emotions. It is a loving disclosure of deeply personal events that shaped the heart and soul of who Peaches has come to be. The Breadth of a Tree is about life and the thoughts, feelings, and words that provide a way to share that life with others.

Abstract: "The Breadth First Spanning Tree of the star graph rooted at the identity e is studied in [16], in which a recursive formula giving the number of nodes at any fixed level of the tree is obtained. This recursive formula has two parameters, and has non-constant coefficients, which makes it hard to obtain a closed form solution. In this paper, we continue the study from a different angle. In particular, we study the relations among the number of nodes at distance i to the identity e in star graphs of different dimensions. More properties of this spanning tree are obtained, which lead to a simple homogeneous linear recursive formula whose characteristic equation is very easy to solve. This provides a systematic way to obtain a closed form solution with given initial conditions. This study helps us better understand the star graph as an interconnection network in order to develop more efficient communication algorithms."

Combinatorial And Algorithmic Mathematics written by Baha Alzalg and has been published by John Wiley & Sons this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2024-10-21 with Technology & Engineering categories.

Detailed review of optimization from first principles, supported by rigorous math and computer science explanations and various learning aids Supported by rigorous math and computer science foundations, Combinatorial and Algorithmic Mathematics: From Foundation to Optimization provides a from-scratch understanding to the field of optimization, discussing 70 algorithms with roughly 220 illustrative examples, 160 nontrivial end-of-chapter exercises with complete solutions to ensure readers can apply appropriate theories, principles, and concepts when required, and Matlab codes that solve some specific problems. This book helps readers to develop mathematical maturity, including skills such as handling increasingly abstract ideas, recognizing mathematical patterns, and generalizing from specific examples to broad concepts. Starting from first principles of mathematical logic, set-theoretic structures, and analytic and algebraic structures, this book covers both combinatorics and algorithms in separate sections, then brings the material together in a final section on optimization. This book focuses on topics essential for anyone wanting to develop and apply their understanding of optimization to areas such as data structures, algorithms, artificial intelligence, machine learning, data science, computer systems, networks, and computer security. Combinatorial and Algorithmic Mathematics includes discussion on: Propositional logic and predicate logic, set-theoretic structures such as sets, relations, and functions, and basic analytic and algebraic structures such as sequences, series, subspaces, convex structures, and polyhedra Recurrence-solving techniques, counting methods, permutations, combinations, arrangements of objects and sets, and graph basics and properties Asymptotic notations, techniques for analyzing algorithms, and computational complexity of various algorithms Linear optimization and its geometry and duality, simplex and non-simplex algorithms for linear optimization, second-order cone programming, and semidefinite programming Combinatorial and Algorithmic Mathematics is an ideal textbook resource on the subject for students studying discrete structures, combinatorics, algorithms, and optimization. It also caters to scientists across diverse disciplines that incorporate algorithms and academics and researchers who wish to better understand some modern optimization methodologies.

Advanced Data Mining And Applications written by Xue Li and has been published by Springer Science & Business Media this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2005-07-12 with Business & Economics categories.

This book constitutes the refereed proceedings of the First International Conference on Advanced Data Mining and Applications, ADMA 2005, held in Wuhan, China in July 2005. The conference was focused on sophisticated techniques and tools that can handle new fields of data mining, e.g. spatial data mining, biomedical data mining, and mining on high-speed and time-variant data streams; an expansion of data mining to new applications is also strived for. The 25 revised full papers and 75 revised short papers presented were carefully peer-reviewed and selected from over 600 submissions. The papers are organized in topical sections on association rules, classification, clustering, novel algorithms, text mining, multimedia mining, sequential data mining and time series mining, web mining, biomedical mining, advanced applications, security and privacy issues, spatial data mining, and streaming data mining.
