I had learned the single wing at The Lawrenceville School in New Jersey from where I graduated in 1972. The Providence football team went undefeated three of the five years he was there and lost only one game during another season. He was concerned that it would confuse the offense more than the defense. I guess they did not need it since they played in the next two Super Bowls!
