The Coterie, narrated and credited to Kalo Coterie (the main character) and written by someone identified only as "the scribe" is an extrairregular (yes those two commonly labeled "individual" words have been conjoined, combined, and fused purposefully) interestingly individualistic and artistically nonsensical indie adventure, combining science, science fiction, scientific research, evolution, history, alternative history, psychology, human sexuality, sex education, naturism, romance, yoga, meditation, and much, much more. All rolled into a fully fantastical, pheromoniously thoughtprovoking, satirically sanguine, timetravelingly tripcentric, multicultural, body positive romp, that will take you places you have never been before, and leave you places you may never want to visit again. The writing style, Coterian, a wild, wacky, wondrously willful, oftentimes, in moments, atimes, poignant manner of communication, native to the Coterie (an ancient race of beings who manipulate time and as a result history using only their graymatter) meant to be goofy, maddening, thoughtprovoking, thoughtinducing, thoughtful, thoughtless, sometimes, sansthought, sarcastic, sardonic, surreptitious, not, nyet, nada, nee, nah, nein, nahi, net, kaee, necessarily, meanspirited, meaningful, meaningless, that helps, hinders, harangues, us, them, we, they, our, ability, proclivity, write, read, scribe, proceed, poetically, we aren''t poets, and yes, we know it, that will make you want to keep reading, if only to discover and experience what might, may, should, could, possibly, come next. So, if any of the above has peaked your interest, or interested your peaks, take a chance on the Coterie, you might be sorry, but not for long. At least not long enough to do any real damage. We are Coterie.Scribe''s Note: This book, and the other''s in this series, are not what one would call standard prose. Those of you reading this and finding mistakes (I''m sorry to burst bubbles, except when bubbles need bursting) aren''t necessarily finding anything that wasn''t meant to be found. Made up words, conjoined words, punctuation, sentence structure, book structure, etiquette, pretty much anything commonly followed is gently mocked at some point. While the underlying message, togetherness, love, family, truth, facts, remain untouched. Oh, and if you''re confused by some of the character''s inner dialogue, or the dialogue bolded on most electronic devices (for physical books the Andy font), then you''ve actually experienced what was meant to be experienced (the human brain is a scary and confusing place, my twentyfive years in mental health tells me that). When I first sat down to chronicle the Coterie I took into account all the "expert" literary advice which, again, at first, made some things easier, though, at last, irked me a bit, and, in moments, made me want to stop writing (something I''m sure happens to many new writers). Then, add on top of that, all the "services" provided by those "wanting to help" at a "reasonable price", of course, who are in actuality doing what they can to take advantage of indie writers and those who simply wish to create (there''s nothing more eyebeholden than one''s perception of other''s creativity) as well as traditional publishers (most of whom are a bit highfalutin for their own good, and the good of readers like you. Much like politicians and other less than optimal professions who receive far too much recognition for what they barely do, or claim to do, barely). Which lead me to decide that these books were going to be my own, as well as for those who may appreciate something unique, and or, convolutedly zany (if you feel something, even if that something is disgust, I''m satisfied). So, again, if this little blurb peaks your interest, by all means, continue. If it doesn''t, by all means, continue. Oh, and for you pessimists out there, no, this isn''t a marketing ploy, just yours truly portraying truth where truth is often in short supply.
