Our culture is changing at a dizzying rate. But the church seems to be left behind, caught in subcultural backwaters that have little or no impact on mainstream society. Based on the quantitative research of his group, Percept, Regele analyzes the forces in our culture and discusses how the church can fulfill its mission in the face of them.

This is a summary, sad but true, of what was intended to be the greatest demonstration of God's wisdom, to the world, throughout the ages. Through a single body of people called the Church. Sadly, today the Western Church is anything but that. Rather, it is an object of ridicule, fragmented into tens of thousands of pieces, displaying anything but the manifold wisdom of God. Leaving millions, wounded, hurt and angry in its wake. How did it come to this? The author gives his reasons for the Church's demise, and briefly gives answers, in part to the dilemma.

In an era where churches in America are in decline, this book offers a clear path and hope for the future. using the Episcopal Church as an example of a Mainline Protestant Domination that has faced a half century of steep decline, the author shows where the church has gone astray, what has contributed to the continued losses, a strong critique of the leadership as well as a way for the people to take back their church and grow it. This book is a must have for anyone who truly cares about the future of American Protestant Churches especially the Lutheran, Presbyterian, Methodist and Congregational Churches, who all face the exact same fate. Delving into how to compete for peoples attention in the modern age, how to modernize your parish, reach out to those who have left and attract new members, this is a "how to" for congregational growth. This compelling narrative tackles the modern day issues that divide our country: conservative vs liberal, race issues, sexuality and other third rail controversies that have torn apart the church. Most importantly the book offers real solutions for how the church should deal with them so as to be a big tent for all people. In addition to the "how to" nature of this book, the author travels to and examines many parishes in the Episcopal Church from the largest in the denomination, St. Martin's Houston, home of the Bush family to St. Bart's on Park Ave in New York City. With interviews ranging from Fox News personality Tucker Carlson to Telemundo's Fr. Alberto Cutie of Florida, this book examines all angles. Brutally honest, insightful and reflective, this book will be a quick read and easy to implement in your own parish. Nothing coming from the leadership of any of these denominations has worked, so if you care about the future of Mainline Protestants and especially The Episcopal Church, then this is for you! Caswell Cooke is not a priest or minister, never went to seminary and holds no theological degrees. This is a grass roots way to make a difference and get results. The future might just be a little brighter with The Death and Resurrection of The Episcopal Church: How to Save a Church in Decline.

In the last decade (2007-2017) there has been a significant reduction in the number and caliber of churches in the United States Christian community. Also, the modern church bears little resemblance to the church that is reported in the Acts of the Apostles. This book is an effort to account for this disparity. It is also written to confirm that a deterioration of spiritual values and accomplishments is by no means acceptable to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. Jesus is honored by a church appropriately described in Scripture as a chaste virgin (2 Cor 11:2) that will eventually be presented to Him a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish" (Eph 5:27). This book is especially dedicated to all who maintain a godly interest in the purity of the church, which is the body of Christ.

This book prepares the way for the practice of kenarchy: a humanity-loving, world-embracing, inclusive approach to life and politics. It does so by identifying two conflicting streams in Christianity: the love stream that the stories of Jesus portray and many of us desire to follow, and the sovereignty system that much of theology, church, and mission represents. Explaining how the two streams arose in early Western history, The Fall of the Church demonstrates that far from being complementary expressions of Christianity, the sovereignty stream embodies the very system that the Jesus of the gospels opposed. The fall of the church is described in terms of its embrace of the sovereignty system and the subsequent history of the West is explained as the story of the resulting partnership. If transcendence is truly like Jesus, then, rather than abandoning the empire system, God has remained within the church and empire in order to empty it out from the inside. Mitchell argues that this divine strategy has continued throughout the history of the West and is coming to a head, right now, in our contemporary Western world, and that the time is ripe for an incarnational politics of love.
