Your life is about to change forever. In the Bible, every individual who became significant in God's work had one thing in common: a radical, personal, transformative encounter with Him. From Abraham’s commissioning to Paul’s dramatic transformation on the road to Damascus, these moments reshaped their lives and the world around them, setting them apart for God’s purposes. But this is not just their story, it could be yours too. For many young people, the desire to follow and serve the Lord is real, but the path to follow can be confusing or overwhelming. In Encounters with God, Theodore Andoseh reveals the foundational starting point for every meaningful spiritual journey. Speaking directly to those at the crossroads of faith and service, he invites you to discover: - How God uniquely manifests Himself to those who seek Him. - What a genuine encounter with God looks like, and how it changes everything. - Steps to take after encountering God in order to walk boldly in your purpose. If your heart burns with questions like, How can I truly know God? What will an encounter with Him do to me? How do I prepare for such a life-defining moment? This book offers the answers. It is an invitation to step out of the ordinary into a vibrant, purpose-filled life of faith, transformation, and divine mission. If you are asking, “Where do I begin?” this book is the roadmap you have been searching for. Your journey starts here.

An encounter with God. It's what we were created for and, whether we realize it or not, what we all pursue. However curious we may be about it, though, many believe it's an arcane experience available only to the spiritual elite. David M. Edwards, an acclaimed worship leader, author, and speaker, shares his insights into encountering God in a way that's refreshingly direct, approachable, and biblically grounded. Through personal experience as well as the examples of Moses, Paul and Silas, David, Mary of Bethany, Abraham, and others, Edwards gives a new dimension to their stories that will help readers see it is indeed possible to encounter God in their daily lives.

A Concordance Of The Qur An written by Hanna E. Kassis and has been published by Univ of California Press this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2023-11-03 with Religion categories.
From the Foreword This Concordance of the Qur'an in English satisfies a paramount need of those—and there are millions of them—who have no command of the Arabic language and yet desire to understand the Qur'an. The benefit derivable from English translations of the Sacred Book is, in principle, limited because, first, the Qur'an is not a "book" but a collection of passages revealed to Muhammad over a period of about twenty-three years and, second, because the Qur'an is not really translatable. This does not mean that the Qur'an should not be translated. It does mean that translations lose much in tone and nuance, let alone the incommunicable beauty, grandeur, and grace of the original. . . . The main distinction of Hana Kassis's concordance, in my view, is that it utilizes the semantic structure of Arabic vocabulary itself in revealing the meaning of the Qur'an on any given issue, point or concept. A reader who looks in the index of this concordance for a word which he has encountered in reading an English translation of the Qur'an—the word pride, for example—is directed immediately to the roots of the Arabic, Qur'anic terms for pride. At tne entries for these Arabic roots, all the derivative forms are shown, and the verses of the Qur'an in which they appear are there listed in translation. . . . I am confident that any person who is sincerely interested in understanding the Qur'an and appreciating the nuances of its diction and shades of its meaning can satisfy his need more fully with this book than in any way short of developing a real command over the Arabic language itself. —Fazlur Rahman, Professor of Islamic Thought, University of Chicago From the Foreword This Concordance of the Qur'an in English satisfies a paramount need of those—and there are millions of them—who have no command of the Arabic language and yet desire to understand the Qur'an. 'Women Encounter God' is one of the first books to explore the commonalities and convergences of women's theologies in the Americas. This critical, comparative analysis of white feminist, womanist, and 'mujerista' theologies focuses on how, by placing their unique theologies in dialogue, the rich contributions of each theology can inform the others. By looking at the key themes of empowerment, embodiment, and relationality, Moody examines how three different types of feminist theologians perceive God. She discusses the works of such representative theologians as white feminists Mary Daly, Rosemary Ruether, Sally McFague, and Carter Heyward; Hispanic/Latina theologians Ada Maria Isasi-Diaz, Yolanda Tarango, and Elsa Tamez; and womanist theologians Delores Williams, Jacquelyn Grant, and Katie Geneva Cannon, as well as feminist theorists Chela Sandoval and Rosemary Tong.
