Tak nakreślony kontekst analityczny pozwolił postawić tezę o arystokracji i – szerzej – o potomkach elit szlacheckich jako o inteligenckim totemie. Wokół tego podstawowego symbolu ciągłości historycznej polskich elit kształtowana jest współczesna polska tożsamość obywatelska. Zaproponowana w książce interpretacja relacji łączących arystokrację, ziemiaństwo i elity szlacheckie z inteligencją, służąc zrozumieniu genezy nowoczesnego polskiego modelu obywatelstwa, stanowi propozycję nowego ujęcia historycznej ewolucji polskich hierarchii społecznych w kategoriach socjologicznych. A corporation actually helps itself when operating sustainably and does well because of its triple bottom line actions. The editors of People, Planet and Profit believe that whilst Corporate Social Responsibility is by now a familiar concept to academics or practitioners, insufficient attention has been paid to the end product of CSR in practice, which they define in terms of social and economic developmental effect. How has the international mobility of Polish citizens intertwined with other influences to shape society, culture, politics and economics in contemporary Poland? The Impact of Migration on Poland offers a new approach for understanding how migration affects sending countries, and provides a wide-ranging analysis of how Poland has changed, and continues to change, since EU accession in 2004. The authors explore an array of social trends and their causes before using in-depth interview data to illustrate how migration contributes to those causes.
