It is a great honor and privilege to share this message of Love with you. I didn't realize that I was on a life journey of Love until a few weeks before I received this Divine writing from Jesus the Christ directly into my mind for me to share with you. The journey of Love I have been on for the last 10 years has taken me from not loving myself, to self-love, to loving myself completely, to feeling loving and loveable to others, to feeling loved and adored by God, and most recently practicing being someone who loves all the time. All these layers and definitions of Love that I have been practicing and experiencing have improved my life tremendously...and then I received this Divine message of Love from Jesus! "But how do we know that it's Jesus?", you may ask. I know from the way the message came into my mind, and then through my heart and soul. The warmth of the Loving energy of Jesus is beyond anything I have felt in my human form. Also, these words are so Divinely stated that it is beyond me to come up with something this good! As for you, you will have a knowing as you read the words. Feel them with your Heart and Soul. Feel them with the depths of your being. You will know. This message takes God's Love, and God's Love within you, to a greater level of understanding, knowing, depth and expansion. The greatest gift the world has is God’s love for us. The love God has for us precipitated God sending us Jesus to bring us back into a loving fellowship with him. Henrietta Hunter’s Jesus My Valentine explores how interconnected the love we experience in our personal lives (i.e. romantically, platonically) to our love for God. She demonstrates this by outlining how the love and passion that the lover in Songs of Solomon possesses for his love is an extended analogy to God’s love for us and how God’s people ought to pursue him as their lover. She matriculates from a historical view of Valentine’s Day to a theological view of Valentine’s Day, moving from an anthropocentric (human) view of love to a theocentric (God) view of love. Jesus My Valentine calls readers to replicate the wooing they extend on Valentines for their lovers to how readers approach and love on Jesus. Henrietta outlines how readers are to love Jesus and make him their valentine in very practical ways. If you asked Henrietta how to make Jesus your valentine? According to this text, she would suggest it is like the way a wife knows her husband and the way a husband gets to know his wife. The Puritan John Dod wrote that this book is 'so full of heavenly treasure, and such lively expressions of the invaluable riches of the love of Christ' that it kindles 'in the heart all heavenly affections unto Jesus Christ'. Indeed it does! And that was very much what Richard Sibbes (1577-1635) was about in all his ministry. The Love of Christ is a series of sermons preached on Song of Solomon 4:16-6:3. For Sibbes, this Bible book 'is nothing else but a plain demonstration and setting forth of the love of Christ to his church, and of the love of the church to Christ'. The Song of Solomon does not simply mouth a doctrine: its sensuous imagery sings its message. It is as if this love story is played on violins. The reader is thus brought, not simply to understand, but to taste and share the delights of the lovers. This is precisely what Christ's people need, as Sibbes knew: it is not enough to be aware of Christ's love; we must sense, grasp and enjoy it. Only then will we truly love the Lord our God with all our hearts. That is one reason why so many avoid books like this one: they want information, and they want it fast. But Sibbes intends to affect you, to hold your eyes on Jesus that you might develop a stronger appetite for him. Such work cannot be fast work, but it is profoundly transforming.
