Never did I imagine after raising a family that God would so powerfully come into my life. It all began in 2003 when He led me and my husband to attend Bible College in Colorado. Then upon graduation we were ordained as ministers of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. God had already let us know that we were to be founders of Message of The Cross Ministries, which today gives me more joy then I had ever hoped for in this life. Just as my earlier life began as a mighty disaster, this now new life in and through Jesus Christ has just the opposite effect and meaning! Traveling is one of my desires, and I patiently wait to see yet more of God s creation and beauty for all of us. Without Jesus Christ I am weak; with Him I am strong. He is my all. From a childhood of abuse came loneliness, fears, and torments in my life. Then going through a nervous breakdown, an abusive marriage, and a desire no longer to live, one day miraculously it all began to change. This book was written to help people grow closer to, and participate more fully in, their personal relationship with God. The road to spiritual maturity is often a long and involved process, which I believe is outlined for us in John’s Gospel. John says at the end of his Gospel in 20:21: “But these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name.” The life he is talking about is our spiritual life. Our spiritual life starts when we begin to truly believe in Jesus and accept him as our lord and Saviour. It comes to ultimate fulfillment when we cross over from physical death into eternal life in Heaven. In between, is a long and often difficult but rich and involved journey. On this Road to Holiness we learn many things. We learn to give up old ways that are not life-giving, and to adopt a more deeply true spiritual outlook. I believe we go through various stages, that I have outlined in this book and as found in the Gospel. We learn to recognize the presence of the Holy Spirit in our lives, as wonderful new opportunities present themselves. As we grow in our spiritual maturity, we develop new spiritual strength that helps us to overcome a whole variety of obstacles and difficulties that would have previously sent us running for cover. Our ability to love deepens and is enriched so that we can appreciate and enjoy all of God’s creation and creatures in a new way. Spiritual growth may take a lot of work at times, but the rewards are definitely worth the effort. As we gain a solid faith in our own worth in the sight of God, we also begin to participate in the unfolding of the Kingdom of God in our midst. This helps us to discover new ways to prepare for our eventual arrival into the Kingdom of Heaven.

God could have created anything He wanted, without all of the wickedness of man-whatever His will it must come to pass. Had He chosen it, we would have been perfect from the beginning, but as a potter shaping a lump of clay, although it starts out as dirt from the earth: the Potter's hands shape and reshapes, until it becomes a vessel that only He could create. Spending time with His children is what God enjoys, which is why He created us-conforming to His will enables us to inhabit His presence, where we receive Joy. The fall in the garden was no surprise to God; He knew what man would do before placing him there, just as He knows what you and I will do. All of creation leads up to Jesus Christ, and His oneness with the church. Coming in the flesh as the "Son of man," allowing His flesh to be nailed to the tree, removed the curse by "...being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangs on a tree" (Gal. 3:13). And His resurrection completed the building of the (New Tabernacle), where those of us who have accepted Him as Lord and Savor dwell: now permitted into the Holy of Holies. Jesus told the Jews (speaking of His time in the tomb) He would "Destroy the temple and rebuild it in three days" (Jn. 2:18-20). "But he spoke of the temple of his body" (v. 21).
